Scott Chandler Out For The Season, Maybe More

Just saw this on the FA thread. The perils of being a pro football player. Good thing hes made $13m over his career. Hopefully hes been smart with his money..

Seems like he has an incredibly supportive wife and great kids. Hopefully this is just a bump in the road for him. I think its just that.

Wow, i wish him the best, what kind of non-impact injury would cause that possibility, I believe it's micro fracture surgery, those are really tough for big guys.

Apparently he was yucking it up with Jules and when Edelman told him a good one, he slapped his knees with his hands of stone hence causing the damage.

Brady actually mentioned it on D and C around mid-season. The "Chandler is fighting through some health issues, working hard, being tough" kind of comment. And with this crowd, the animosity would have been standard.

Really sucks. He is a good dude and was a good player. We can all understand what happened last year a little bit better now.

Maybe he can hit up Peyton and get the hookup on some HGH.

What a good guy. I feel bad now that I thought he was a bum for some of last season. I need to remember that usually when an NFL player's performance falls off, it's because he's dealing with some kind of injury and trying to play through it. Good luck to Scott for a speedy recovery.

Dam, that sucks. Yeah things didn't work out as swimmingly as a lot of fans thought it would with the Pats but he's still a human being that is pondering retirement at 30 with knee problems. Not fun.

Wow, that sucks. Wonder when he suffered the injury. Wish him a speedy recovery and no long lasting impacts!
I know the exact moment this happened and it was in the Denver game. He walked off but that is when he fell off the wagon altogether.

We should probably remember that when we talk about LaFell too...

Neither Chandler nor LaFell suffered major injury to their hands, as best I can tell.

I agree with you but lets not get too flowery over Chandler. He was very average here before his injury and his hands were questionable.

I think LaFell's biggest physical issue became his brain. I grant him the leg and shoulder issues set him back substantially but my god he couldn't catch a cold and he lost his mojo and confidence in the offense.
