OK, any news on Fairley? He was great at Auburn, I guess he didn't play as hard when he had to take a pay cut to play in the NFL.

Hey i was just minding my own business when i was viciously attacked for no reason. :) A passage from my post was taken out of context by a know troll. I don't know if you've noticed, but for some reason Deus (maybe he goes off his meds) :D will go after other posters looking to get into pissing match. Its all fun and games for the most part. And no one will lose an eye.

You made a comment that, in part, specifically responded to my post, albeit while not actually quoting the post, so don't go playing the victim card. You likely posted without knowing Easley's history, and then went ad hom rather than just acknowledging the error. There was no victim here.

Having said that, yeah, Ross is mistaken if he thinks this is any kind of serious back-and-forth by forum standards.

Yeah, I know sometimes things go off the rails, and I know it's not always taken as seriously as it looks in text, but it's not super fun for the other posters in the thread just trying to discuss normally. Just figured I would try bring us back to the ground floor if I could ;)

Until Easley learns to stay on the field, I'll refrain from having strong opinions about him either way. That said, Easley's getting injured every year schtick is starting to get really old.

Because there's no first round pick, so no one's all that interested in the draft, comparatively speaking.

Not picking until #60 does take some wind out of the sails for sure and with the ongoing lamenting over DFG the natives are restless.

Seriously, the draft is right around the corner and we have no first round pick because our owner prefers his other 32 buddies. Because of this, we're behaving like college guys whose girlfriends suddenly made them wear purity rings.... (Taking a deep breath, we're going to get through this....)

If there is any news on Fairley, feel free to post! I keep on checking here and it is a debate on the draft and Easley! :)

From what I've read he played well last year in a limited role. Not many sacks but was constantly disruptive against the run and pass. Would be a quality signing and would help with the loss of Hicks.

Fairley would be wise to take a deal for a couple of million bucks here, kick absolute ass for this team and triple his payday in 2017 somewhere.

I know it sucks and it will likely set us back a bit, but if there's any team in the league that can overcome this punishment, it's the Patriots. Plain and simple.

The reality is that as fans, we miss the first night. After that, we have four selections for rounds 2-3. Watch Belichick get creative, move around, and set us up nicely for next spring, where it helps to offset the loss.

I can't figure out how we're going to get more than about 5-6 players on the team from our 11 picks this year, as it is.

Well the other teams he has visited was the Saint and the jests

jests not sure that is an ideal situation for a DT with Wilkerson, Richardson and Williams.
Saints. See: Akiem Hicks

It sure looks like this team will never stop believing in round 6.
And if the gem is there this year they almost cannot miss him.

(Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses...)

They took a chance on Easley and unfortunately it did not workout. He has all the talent but cannot stay healthy. He has yet to play a full season and has had knee problems since College. His rookie contract will probably be his last.
I bet you thought Hightowers rookie contract would be his last too. Or that gronk would never play a full season again after 2012. Two seasons a career does not make.

Actually I did not nice of you to make an assumption. he has had a history of injuries. Do some research before you jump to conclusions
