PREDICTION: Top 10 SB-era QBs via NFL

But yea NFL, keep doing everything you can to destroy the legacy of the #1 QB ever over something you can't even prove actually happened.. Makes a lot of sense.


Also, just an observation... Rodgers, Montana etc get their name but Brady is just initials. Can't tell if that's a compliment or not..

Saw that. Besides Brady at 1, there's a ton of stupidity involving active QBs. Just because the Brady/Manning era is almost over doesn't mean there have to be other all time greats already playing.

I have made a few top 10 list on here... with changes due to Peyton winning #2 Here is the new list

#1 Brady
#2 Montana
#3 Staubach
#4 Unitas
#5 Young
#6 Starr
#7 Manning
#8 Rodgers
#9 Elway
#10 Marino

Favre just misses and Maning goes up to 7 but on my list there is a huge difference between 6 and 7.

Rodgers hasn't earned his way into the top five let alone top three, IMHO.

This list is who they think will be top 10 in 10 years time.

Did they use TB to mean Terry Bradshaw and sucker us Pats fans into thinking they did something uncharacteristically rational and positive regarding the Patriots?

They actually think that in 10 years Cam Newton will be the 5th greatest of all time.

To me it is unfortunate that more and more of these type of lists are becoming 'Super Bowl era' rather than simply 'Greatest (fill in the blank) of all time'. In my opinion it is a grave disservice to football players like Johnny Unitas, Sammy Baugh, Otto Graham, Jim Brown, Don Hutson, Chuck Bednarik, Deacon Jones, Gino Marchetti, Night Train Lane, etc.

I think that's an acknowledgement of the difficulty of getting an even evaluation process for both sides of that cutoff. Here's an example:

Yards passing per game:
Starr - 126.1
Manning - 270.5

Career high passing TDs in a season
Starr - 16
Manning - 55

Career high yards passing in a season
Starr - 2438
Manning - 5477

Manning threw fewer than Starr's career high in yards per season only once in his career, and that was this past season, when he was arguably the worst starting QB in the NFL. Even Manning's numbers this year, this year, at 2249 yards, would stand as Starr's 4th best season, just 8 yards shy of his 3rd best year.

When we add in what could be done before and not now, and what can be done now and not before, we've really got a wildly different game. I think a lot of people just acknowledge that by using the SB era as a cutoff.

The players (at all positions) continue to grow bigger, faster, and stronger. Never the less the salary cap was implemented in 1994.

rodgers will never pass montana

the same guy has rodgers at number 4 all time qb. ahead of manning, farve, steve young, bradshaw, etc...utter garbage. rodgers is an overrated front runner.

On what basis? Legit question, not criticism of your opinion

I think brees vs. rodgers is a fascinating debate that no one ever seems to think to have.

Its always brady vs. manning but people forget the nfc has had two HOF caliber qbs for the past decade as well..

Im assuming its because they lack the head to head rivalry/history but still

All kidding aside, Bradshaw should be ranked ahead of all but a handful of QBs.
