Getting back to the matter of Patriots player involvement....

I find it hard to believe that this story is accurate because we are almost 24 hours in and no other outlet has picked it up. I can't believe it isn't being pursued by other outlets. The woman who originally reported it doesn't seem to be following up on her own story.

I agree, it's strange that it hasn't come out yet. I'm even more surprised that so many other outlets jumped on it without a name or a confirmation, including a couple of local ones. But I'm guessing if there's any validity to it, I'm sure we'll probably hear soon enough.

I would imagine if there was a Pats player somewhat involved, the Patriots would have released something, *circumventing* the Media

It's a bizarre situation and the original report is vague at best. Hopefully the next time a name comes up, unlike what happened to Dobson, they'll at least wait until they have all the facts first.

I hope people can learn from this.

This sucks very sad news. But regarding the patriots player involvement. Don't you think it's incredibly irresponsible to just put that out there in the morning and there haven't been any follow ups since then. Seems they just got one source and ran with it.

This is a terrible tragedy... my thoughts go out to the family that is dealing with the emotional devastation that ultimately results from a situation like this...

I can't say for a fact, but I'm sure most of us have done some pretty foolish &$%! in our adolescent years... I talk with my father almost every weekend about some of the absolute stupid &@^%@$# that I did when I was in my 20's and am still grateful every day that I didn't have to face the ultimate consequence for something that I was too stupid to understand at the time..

My heart goes out to Tray Walker's family and friends who are going through a great deal of grief trying to make sense of all of this... just a horrible tragedy all the way around

Absolutely.

I was dissapointed to see some of the levity, dumbassery, and foolish light hearted bs a few pages back. I'd hope that is because those posters were unaware Tray Walker had passed away from his injuries.

As ive stated elsewhere, my heart goes out to his family and loved ones. I also hope the driver of the SUV is not followed by this event going forward (from all accounts, sounds like she was certainly not at fault). This is a tragic event, to say the least.

I was lucky to get out of my teens personally. Younger 20s as well. At the ripe old age of 27 with a young family, and many opportunities to grow beyond my years doing said dumbass things in the past decade, I'd like to think of myself as a well grounded adult (still plenty to learn, of course). I see my younger brothers and their friends repeating many of the stupid decisions I made at their age and pray (and I'm not religous) they learn without paying the price of admission.

We all learn at some point that we aren't invincible, hopefully this opens some eyes to those among us that haven't learned yet. In the darkest of occasions are the most significant lessons learned.

RIP, and may peace and solace find those touched by you.

This article just says Tray was with another NFL player, no mention of Patriots.

This thread is more about the mysterious witness than that terrible tragedy, still no news to report on this..

It would seem in a 36 hour period that they could find this alleged witness?? If he was a Pats player, they could figure out where he was..
