Are either of them former first rounders? Otherwise not interested. Nick Fairly is though.....

Hah, gotta keep getting former 1st rounders. Only fair since we got ours stolen.

Sure, why not, sign me up for Fairley!

All I'm hearing from Bears fans is that he sucks

Their team just signed a guy for $5m per that sucked before he came to NE in exchange for the Pats #3 TE.

love this move, sure he sucked with the bears but now he has the HOODIE coaching him. shea obviously has talent, he's going to turn his career around.

also an irishman.:D

We have added a #2 overall pick, a #7 overall pick, a #19 overall pick, and a #27 overall pick in the past 24 hours.

**** you kraft.

spineless gutless jellyfish. imagine if we had a 1st...

Our luck with former bears ended with colvin and even was more hurt than most. Lets home this works out .

How are any of the draft picks even going to make the team?

This is something that we've been blessed enough to ask ourselves almost every single year, and precisely why I pretty much consider us to be in a position of luxury every draft.

The areas where a rookie can/will make the team in my opinion:

OT
RB
WR
DT
CB
LB

I do think that you make an excellent point regarding the possibility of seeing some of our 11 draft picks traded into 2017. I'll take a guess at 2-3 selections pushed forward, including one of our second rounders, which will shock many fans.

think of it this way: we had a first, front office traded it in a parlay into four first rounders.

feel better that way?

Would only be fitting that the year bb loses any rights to pick above 29, he trades into next year (say 60 and one of the 27 6ths) for what becomes a top 15 pick.

Making:
traded away: chandler Jones, 4th rounder, 6th rounder
Recieved: Cooper, Bennet, 2017 1st, 4 mil in cap space after signing long presumably as the Jones replacement.

Where's that damn BB oj pic when I need it?

What's going on in Chicago? Total yard sale

I firmly agree with you that he may do it for the shock value alone, since so much attention will be placed in their lack of a first rounder next month.

As you've mentioned, we're already in a pretty nice position in terms of having our top 40-45 players solidified, so aside from the positions that I've brought up, I actually think there's a decent chance that we end up trading a 2nd rounder or at least a 3rd rounder.

If Belichick wishes to take some youth at 60, 61, and say 96--it would still leave him 91 to trade into next year, which would surely be an additional 2nd rounder for 2017. You can mix/match any combo of the above, but I can almost guarantee that Belichick will be looking to deal one of our second rounders this year in an attempt to snag two firsts next year.

I think they've been attempting to trade Bennett for 18 months or so, according to Chicago team reporters. Losing McClellin probably isn't going to keep them up at night, due to his underwhelming first 4 seasons.

I think they were prepared to move on from Forte once RB Jeremy Langford (whom I pounded the tables for and was available in the 4th round--sigh) emerged as a dual threat last season.

Either way you look at it, there's nowhere to go but up, so I pretty much agree with their moves. :)

Can't help but wonder if Bjorn Werner is salvageable. He'd only add to the "former 1st acquisition project" going on as of late. :D
