A serious upgrade from past year's Jake Bequette at TE, no?
Even if you don't want to be TE2 there is no shame being behind Gronk. IDK who could be mad about that. As long as he gets his snaps and looks which he will I think he should be happy.
I'm confused. Are you saying he should take a 1 year deal worth less per year? Because he definitely will not do that.
Sometimes I feel like BB reads this message board. He just traded Jones to the Cardinals and then traded for Bennett. WTF? If he cuts Cannon tomorrow I'll probably s*** a brick.
Anyone have any details on how he wore out his welcome in Chicago ? On the field he's certainly someone we'll love having.
No I must have misread the post. I thought the post implied that Bennett was going to be TE3.You think AJ Derby can flat beat out Bennett for the number 2 spot? That's optimistic thinking!
Where did you hear that?
Ross, if he cuts Cannon or Kline, you can add me to the list of sh*** bricks
I can't remember honestly. Could have been from a fan. Maybe Giants or Cowboys fan? Or maybe some reporter. It was a while back. I'm not talking about his blocking performance. I just heard he doesn't like doing it.
This is what Bennett said about Gronk prior to our 2014 matchup against the Bears:
"The Gronk? I watch him all the time. He’s like the Terminator of tight ends. I enjoy watching him play. He’s just…like I say, he’s like the Terminator. … You look at Arnold Schwarzenegger, the way he moved in Terminators [he’s] similar to Gronk. He’s a hell of a player. He does a lot of great things. It’ll be fun to talk to him before the game. He’s a great guy."
