Not interested in a OG. Got Jackson, Kline, Mason and the possibility of Stork/Andrews playing some OG. I think their main need on OL is to upgrade OT. Cannon just doesnt cut it.

Ya they did. Re-signed Waddle..

Oh come on. Team building is a looooonnnng process. It's not complete in mid-March. This team was clearly the best in the league the first part of last year before horrific injuries struck.

Make smart offers, add some guys, go through the draft, pick up some guys this summer, etc. Patience.

It's deeper than that for me. A guy like Weddle used to be a no brainer the Pats would get him. Not this year. Same deal with Hicks. It's a trend that I find a little disconcerting.

Maybe BB should hire you to be GM.

I mean AFCCG Superbowl, AFCCG the last three years is ok i guess, but with you as GM im sure it would be SUPERBOWL SUPERBOWL SUPERBOWL am i right?

Since when do the Pats pay $7m/aav for a safety that they didn't draft and $5m/yr for a DT that played 30% of the snaps?

Surprised about how little interest there's been in Terance Knighton.

He had a pretty solid season in Washington. I'd be pretty stoked if he replaced Hicks.

His one year deal last year was not that bad, price wise.

That's a little unfair, after all this is just a message board where people are allowed to voice their opinions. If you disagree then give a valid counter point, or perhaps just ignore the post and move on.

With that said, I definitely do not agree that BB passing on Weddle and Hicks at a high contract is some how a mistake.

I was surprised at how little interest was there last year, as well. Especially after the performance he gave against the Pats.

When has giving a 31 year old player a 4 year/$29m deal that plays a position that isn't a hole been the norm for the Pats?

As for Hicks they had their price and offered him a longer deal than Chicago. He wanted to go to Chicago..

Let's not forget Pats have Collins, Hightower, Sheard, Ninkovich, Jones, Ryan, Harmon, Branch all set to be UFA next year. They wanted Hicks back but maybe not at the cost of potentially losing Sheard assuming Collins and Hightower are priority #1 & #2 to re-sign.

I don't understand the hype around Chris Long. He's only had 2 double-digit sack seasons in 8 years with Rams, and never made a Pro Bowl. Even worse, he's produced about 5 sacks in the last two years. That's right. Just 5 sacks!

The worst thing about Weddle signing with the ratbird's is that now I have to hear about how great these pieces of Sh*t will be this year.....I hate living around these terrible, uneducated ratbird's fans....They really are the worst I have ever come in contact with.....

I think you have selective memory. We almost never sign a big name free agent. I can think of Moss and Revis off the top of my head in the last decade. Who else? Adalius Thomas is the only other name that immediately comes to mind. Most of our signings are lower profile. This happens every single year.

Pretty easy to tell who is getting their news from Felger and Mazz lol.

I think there's just not much demand for run-plugging NTs anymore, no matter how good they are.

To all the pessimists and naysayers, no one has ever hoisted a Lombardi in March. The team was a 2-point conversion away from OT in the AFFCG and the very young established core is basically still intact for this season and hopefully the injury bug cuts us a break this year.

It's definitely good to just throw money at guys with big names. Even better, guys without big names but whose names are suddenly big because the free agent market really sucks. That's definitely the way to build a team.
