Even w/ Chris Hogan signing, it doesn't sound like the #Patriots are completely ruling out Anquan Boldin. It will come down to $, of course.

Have no idea who this guy is or if he is legit or not

Well Giradi reported that Pats did reach out to Boldin last week. So clearly there is some interest there and it wouldn't surprise me if he signed but of course it comes down to money. But Boldin probably isn't in a rush to sign with a team.

I'd love to see a solid, physical, vet presence who can go over the middle, work the outside a bit, and offer another RZ target.

With Hogan getting 4m a year average, it's hard to see Boldin taking much less, though. Maybe he'd sign for 3m a year or so.
I would hope for 2-2.5, myself... He's tough but he is getting pretty old, I don't know if a WR at his age can necessarily command a ton of money. But in this market, who knows.

You're telling me Elway might trade the guy he just traded for this week? The only QB with starting experience on his roster?
That's a rumor, the thinking is philly wouldn't trade for chip to get him... Bad feelings and all. So Elway might be getting trade bait. If not the thinking is to be a back up as he has experience. (Or at least I hope so). That's what Broncos fans are hoping for at least...

Weddle would be great, but I have a feeling he doesn't want to be here to split time with McCourty and Chung. Maybe a place like Pittsburgh, where he can start. I'd love to be wrong though...

At this point, resigning Blount, grabbing Boldin and a guy like Chris Long would make this a pretty solid Free Agency.

Why would he have to split time with Chung? Just move him to LB like the Cards did with Deone Bucannon. Chung's skillset is better the closer he is to the line of scrimmage.

They gave Wayne an up to $3m deal in training camp last year and Wayne was older than Boldin is now and Wayne played in a good passing offense the year before. Boldin played in one of the worst passing offenses in the league and had a solid season.

You'll get people saying they don't want him because he doesn't separate and played the slot last year but Boldin was never really a great separation guy and he lines up on the inside as much as he does in the slot. He just one of those WRs that can do both.

If Boldin is signed, Amendola is gone. Period

Who the hell is that guy. And Boldin signing means nothing of the sort.

He has less followers than i do. I am just going to start to throw out random tweets to see if people pick up on it here

Neither of those guys are guaranteed. Just heard some rumbles that both are possible. Don't rule out Jerrico Cotchey either

Yeah just a generic FA tweet anyone could write

Yes, good point. Chung in the box and Weddle and McCourty patrolling would make the defense extra dangerous. Would also relieve some of the stress on Collins in coverage.

Cotchery would be an elite sneaky signing.

LOVE what he's done in Pitt and Carolina the last two years. Seems to make big timely catches

Lifshatz works at The Hub.

....dying about th QB mess.

If all Donkey fans were like you, I'd be sad for them...

Seriously, congrats on the ring! Got a feeling you guys will be back in the hunt sooner than anyone expects. Too much talent and a front office that hates losing.

Wayne was an elite WR not long ago though. But I get your point. I would definitely welcome Boldin. Just don't wanna break the bank.

He's actually had a good couple years recently, you're right. That might not be a bad move, though fans here would probably hate it.

That seems unlikely to me lol, but I guess anything is possible. Can't blame Broncos fans for hoping, I mean really who wants Sanchez starting for their team?

Weddle would be an upgrade over Harmon who is a UFA after this year and one we'll likely have to let go with more important guys to sign. Just have to be real careful with the dollars with the big names coming up after this year.

I thought a couple reports came out naming the 4 teams?

Well neither Schefter or Rapoport have reported who the teams are and they've pretty much reported everything so far in free agency and I haven't seen anyone else report which teams since the report of him narrowing it down to 4 teams.
