With the Tes left..who would you like brought in. I am still holding out hope for Cook..but afraid of what he might go for. I really want another decent/good TE to go with Gronk like back in the AH days. Can make up for eh rreceivers

Oh you want a big target as a receiving option?

Did Gronk get traded or?

I'd try to snag Gresham and Draft one of the many Hback Hybrid Flex players (Dan Vitale heading that list for me). You still have M. Williams.

Gresham would have to do pretty badly as a receiver to be as disappointing as Chandler but Gresham will be a better blocker.

I just don't know what happened with all the promise we saw in those 2 TE sets in the Red Zone early on, even before Chandler's injury.

i dont like mike williams.
offers nothing in the passing game and the extra man in to block does nothing. teams still get pressure and when we try to run even with an extra guy we still get 0 yards..

for some reason i think scott returns at the vet minimum.

I mean as far as the flex TE goes, good luck every striking gold like we did with AH for a short short time. He has RD1 talent just fell due to...well we all know the story.

The closest thing to him is Jordan Reed present that in my humble opinion (and we won't ever be able to afford Reed now) I wanted the Patriots to draft Reed badly, but thats a diff point.

Point is, I don't know if we will ever get that type of production from the Flex TE position while still having Gronk. That was something that just played out insanely perfect and it came to a tragic end.

Well have to be a little fortunate in the draft. This year there are plenty of potentials...

Williams actually isn't that bad blocking ..its when they send him out on routes that it looks silly .. He's not fooling anyone, Brady isn't going to target him often, if ever

How'd about Eric Weddle? Nothing wrong with another safety. McCourty + Weddle would be an awesome safety duo.

He'd better be more than "actually not that bad" at blocking for a 300 LB tight end. From what I could tell, he was a pretty good blocker.

This would likely be an upgrade, but McCourty + Chung is already pretty awesome. IMO, both played like top 10 safeties last year, and Chung might have even had the better season.

I'm not against this, but can we please bring in someone with some size so Brady has some room for error with his downfield passes. And before everyone comes in saying we have Gronk, I know he's on the team, but I cringe everytime he makes a reception up the seam and a safety comes out of nowhere trying to blow his knee out.

What is your deal? What part of 6'1 isn't size? Because that is what Hogan is. A legit 6'1. He's not 5'10.

The guy I like is Henderson from the jets/vikings. has played inside and outside in 3-4 and 4-3 alignments.
Henderson? As in Erin Henderson? He's a stiff.

This has absolutely nothing to do with your post or this thread, but I think you might lead this site in dislikes/disagrees given to people.

Not to beat a dead horse, but what the hell is with people complaining about Brady's options when he was the biggest, badest, best TE in the history of the world, and an unstoppable 100+ catch guy per year?

How many teams have a 1-2 as good as JE and RG? Lol

I guess people just don't count them because one is a small "slot" receiver and the other is a TE.... Newsflash.. They count, and they are option 1 and option 2. Options 3,4 and 5 aren't going to be expensive big names, and they shouldn't be.

Last year McCourty and Chung were amazing together. Chung had a fantastic year back there. Chung last year was what i expected/wanted him to be when he was first with the Pats. Pats MAY have or are looking into him. But we are set in the secondary IMO. I think PFF we were the #1 secondary overall IIRC? We could use another CB or two for depth and i am sure they will pick 1 up or draft one ect.

But OAK and Pitt have bigger needs at that position he can fill. Save that $$ for one of our big extensions

They aren't complaining about them as players but maybe more of depth. Jules and Gronk are good for 1-4 games missed a year. Very rare for those 2 to make it a whole year without getting hurt and when and if they miss the same games together..the O is screwed. So i think people want another WR or capable backup TE for when they do miss those games

Not to mention the fact that anytime Gronk catches a pass defenders start honing in on his knees.
