Pats just are wasting away opportunity after opportunity. Every off season is the same damn thing.....not frustrating anymore because I am so used to their indifference!

We don't need to spend that kind of money on a safety. We have a pretty good tandem with McCourty/Chung.

And Harmon is a very solid 3rd safety.. with Richards as the young 4th safety that is being developed. We're in a very nice situation with our safeties

I know they've only won 182 regular season and 22 playoff games for 204 total wins at a clip of 13.6 victories per season for the last 15 years. Losing every off-season is killing this franchise.

I know, sickening isn't it. Every off-season Miami and the Jets kill it in free agency and we have nothing for them. I mean sure, we're the most dominant force in football history, but what use is that if you don't hamper your team building efforts by perennially overpaying average players like they're elite? Sucks to be a Pats fan.....

Btw, don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but apparently he can also punt. So if god forbid something happens to Ryan Allen in a game, there's a backup plan there too.

It seems like his wrist injury was the reason for so many drops this past season. Could be an absolute steal. Can he step in for edelman or amendola if either of them get injured?

Brady now has gronk, lewis, edelman, amendola, hogan and perhaps streater to throw to.

Who is a game breaking reciever that any team is going to trade?
Here is one I have not seen mentioned. Chris Givens. Was taken in 2012 just after Josh left but he must have seen the scouting reports. He is fast and supposedly just a go route runner. He was traded to the Ravens who promptly lost their QB Flacco and at the end had Mallet throwing to him. Only 20 receptions last year in a mid season trade. But 13 of them were for first downs. He is big at 6' and 203lbs.

He had one more TD than Sanu and at 20 catches in a complete new system mid year versus 33 for Sanu and how many did Streater have again? Should be less $ than Hogan and Streater.

Game breaking? Maybe. A career 16.6 YPC. His best year was 2010 with 42 catches and 25 for first downs. He has never played with a decent QB. Who knows?

Austin Davis? Are you kidding me?

Ryan Mallett?

We're only two days into free agency and still have a draft to go.

and even if they do sign someone
you have to stay on the ledge for five more days ...

Too bad we can't be like the Dolphins and Jets and sign all those big money Free Agents every year.
January would suck, but March would be fun. And then we could brag about all our FAs for 6 months too.

Deep threat only. Seeing that the Pats haven't completed a long pass in their last 487 tries might be worth bringing in though.

Ya they didn't win a SB last year or anything.....

we have the $$$$, mccourty with weddle as the safety's
chung as a hybrid type of LB.

gives the hoodie even more options.

Dola needs to re work deal or later i feel now. Last night i said there was no way you can dump him now but they may.

But my question is if they dump Dola and have JE and Hogan and say Streater...that WR group kinda sucks IMO. I would HOPE a trade would be coming

This punting thing is nice as a bit of trivia but that's about it. If Allen got injured in-game and they weren't comfortable letting Gost do it they can always just line up on 4th down and let Brady pooch it. If Hogan ends up being important to the offense the last thing I'd want him doing is getting bumrushed on punt attempts.

I like the idea of this dude though, I don't like him instead of Dola if it meant anything for that money-wise. Can cut Cannon, sign High to make more room. But right now the room is there, haven't signed anybody.
