still hoping for weddle but we haven't been linked to him..

seems like he's oakland/pittsburgh bound which sucks.

Turning into the Celtics of the NFL....

I think the money is the first. THE PATS DO NOT WANT TO PAY YOU OFF TO GAIN CAREER SUCCESS HERE. YOU WILL HAVE SUCCESS IF YOU DO YOUR JOB. YOU NEED TO SHOW YOUR EFFORT. WINNING IS SUCCESSFUL
Brady, Gronk, McCourty, Edelman and many others have received second contracts.

The second is work ethic or fear of it. When you were in school you never wanted to have that tough teacher. Think about it. You might have learned more and be disciplined but what fun is that? Accountability is what you have to have here.
In essence Elway says the same about the Broncos. "We want you here if you want to be a Bronco". Another top notch organization. Probably the same in GB.

I like Hogan but even I'm surprised by the money. Not only is 4/$12m a hefty chunk of change, but loading over $5m in the first year is a big commitment considering the team isn't exactly cap rich this year... They're around $16m in space so this deal would put them down to $11m, that's not very much. I think the idea that his signing being a catalyst to push an Amendola restructure, or otherwise a release, to save more cap space has some merit. They could be thinking they'll load a little extra money this year and they'll get it back from cutting from Danny's deal or from just cutting Danny period.

So not only must they really like him, but they REALLY don't want Buffalo to match. They've made it basically impossible unless Buffalo cuts some guys or manages some restructures to save several million dollars within the next 5 days.

Unless they screw it up badly, extending HT would reduce their cap hit, but extending Collins and/or Butler would increase it.

Starks Streater Hogan, sign collins and hightower to extensions.
Draft offensive and defensive lines draft 2 runningbacks
resign Blount
sign Grimes and have BB sit down with his wife to put her in place of put Grimes on Gronks party bus and break them up.
Reasonable. Now add a Hicks resign and steal a very under the radar Zack Brown.

We don't need to spend that kind of money on a safety. We have a pretty good tandem with McCourty/Chung.

@jeffphowe
Hogan's 42-yarder against Chung last season was the longest pass surrendered by Chung all year.

If "we" sign Streater, he's an All Pro caliber player who just hasn't had his fair shake. If "we" don't sign Streater, he's absolute garbage and BB was just bringing him in to be nice to his agent and try to drum up interest for the poor stiff, because he owed him a favor.

Welcome to Patsfans.com!
Great post. Most of the guys we bring in are just JAGS and then when we sign them....well maybe they are pretty good really..

Get him in here.. People have been giving me dislikes on post ive made about harvin but he is a zero risk enormous upside guy.. People are willing to trade a 2nd or a 3rd for gordon who is one puff away from never playing again. Percy harvin is a huge talent with a two cent head. Thats what people said about randy... Thats what people said about blount.. But they worked out great. Percy would sign for almost nothing.. 2 mil maybe? We paid reggie wayne 900,000 to show up and say he wasnt having any fun. Come on.. Its a bold move. Dion lewis was a bold move with no risk and he is fantastic.. Sometimes these things work out. And if they dont.. No big deal. Its better than giving sanu 8 mil a year.
Very fair retort. BB knows enough about Harvin to pull the trigger if the kid really decides he wants to play ball. That is the deal with him. He's all pro when he wants to be and injuries or illnesses are his excuse.

If Gronk and Edelman weren't so injury prone due to the way they play, I would be more satisfied, but since they are we need all the capable receivers we can get to avoid another season like 2013.

Have heard his agent is a nut bag that gets drunk and talks to fish...just what I've heard.
Didn't he get stuck on a boat cruise with a bunch of people with various distinct gender preferences?

lol never hire Malik Jackson as a GM
“I think the Broncos are kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place,” Jackson said, via the Denver Post. “They could have gotten me done, they could have got Danny done, they could have got Brock done for [next] to nothing and now we’ve all branched out, . . .

“I don’t know what they’re doing. I know they let go a lot of key players but I know that defense is still going to be stout and I can’t wait to see them in the season when they come here.”
Now-rich Malik Jackson says Broncos could have kept everyone

Jeff Howe ‎@jeffphowe
I can't even imagine the steam coming out of Rex Ryan's ears right now.

I really like Hogan's route-running ability, has good double moves, knows how to weave through various zones, good sideline comebacks.

Hogan can line up anywhere and he can absolutely take a good hit after the catch. He finishes every single play. I like that a lot.

Hogan makes some contested catches, but he needs to make more. Sometimes allows the CB to get better positioning as the ball arrives.

11:06 AM - 11 Mar 2016

Sorry for the plain-text posts - I originally had posted the actual tweets but they formatted really weird, it seems like Twitter was treating Jeff's tweets as a conversation with himself and kept re-posting the original tweet each time.

I would rather have Hogan than Sanu, especially at the price tag.

Btw, don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but apparently he can also punt. So if god forbid something happens to Ryan Allen in a game, there's a backup plan there too.
