Have a feeling Amendola's getting canned.

A 3 WR set of Edelman, Hogan, Streater is more vertical than what we have had in awhile. Hope it gets done.

Hey patsinthesnow? is Streater still in town?

what's everyones thoughts on Alfred Morris? Surprised that I have not heard his name linked to many teams yet. I know his productions has declined over the years and he is not known as a receiver, but he has been productive on a mediocre team, is a straight line runner and blocks well. Think he could be an upgrade over Blount.
Would definitely like to see him brought in and would prefer him over Blount (and Starks).

Hometown discount to stay. If he was leaving for the best deal he surely gets more than Sanu. Apples to oranges.

Ahh okay, surely someone would've paid him double than what he received....

Good one. ;)

I like Hogan but even I'm surprised by the money. Not only is 4/$12m a hefty chunk of change, but loading over $5m in the first year is a big commitment considering the team isn't exactly cap rich this year... They're around $16m in space so this deal would put them down to $11m, that's not very much. I think the idea that his signing being a catalyst to push an Amendola restructure, or otherwise a release, to save more cap space has some merit. They could be thinking they'll load a little extra money this year and they'll get it back from cutting from Danny's deal or from just cutting Danny period.

So not only must they really like him, but they REALLY don't want Buffalo to match. They've made it basically impossible unless Buffalo cuts some guys or manages some restructures to save several million dollars within the next 5 days.

Maybe the premium is shutting him out of Buffalo.

Also, I've read several times that BB brings in FAs and goes over tape with them. Maybe there are red flags or green flags that get in the way or say GO!

I wasn't expecting an offer anywhere near 4/12. In Bill, I trust.

Maybe he was the only one who understood what "Pink Stripes" meant...

I'm expecting a rash of restructures, extensions and cuts.

Can the Pats put in something like a $3 million roster bonus that hits the 2016 cap, but then later restructure it to be spread over the three years of the contract? That would be an effective way to take advantage of the Bills' cap situation without also ruining their own if/when the Bills don't match.

Morris is 27 so this will be his last chance for a big contract. Someone will offer him more money than us and it would be foolish for him not to take it.

@viccarucci
Chris Hogan expected to get an offer sheet from #Patriots Friday AM. Hearing it will be tough one for #Bills to match to keep him.

Edelman
Hogan
Amendola
Martin
Harper/Dobson/mid-round rookie

eh....
Here is a little irony; Both Amendola and Hogan were featured underdogs in Hard Knocks series . Amendola on the Cowboys and Hogan with the Fins. Who else was there in underdog WR we should look at?

He falls in love with big names. Always have. He destroyed the Jets' cap and he will do the same with Dolphins.

Mario Williams was a locker room cancer last year and quit on the team. Pair him up with Suh and he is a head coach's worst nightmare.

How are the Dolphins affording all these guys?

Danny Woodhead was as well. Hmm...

They were right about Chandler, so I'll take their opinion under consideration.
He had ligament damage in his wrists that have been now repaired. I am sure the look-see yesterday addressed that with the Pats medical.

that looks so underwhelming...
tom's job isnt getting any easier once he gets older.

Can the Patriots office restructure that Hogan deal to say put a million into a signing bonus and have it paid over the remaining contract thus less impacting on the current cap year.

so

Current deal offered 5m - 3.5 - 3.5

New deal in a weeks time 4m - 4m - 4m

Is that how signing bonus works.. lol

Learned from their mistake with Sanders a few years ago then.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking about when I typed it.
