Broken foot in 2014 and sick the begining of 2015 on NFLI
Rod Streater is reportedly still on the Raiders' active/NFI list due to an "illness."

ESPN's Adam Caplan reports Streater "lost some weight" due to the illness, which remains undisclosed.

If he's already torn his ACL, he will have met all of the qualifications of a perfect Patriot.

I can't imagine how we'll ever be able to hang with the Dolphins and Texans. Being the most arrogant smartest guy in the room has cost BB another title.

You knoew WR is a major need.

We have a top 5 WR in Edelman, the best TE in the league, a quality slot guy in Amendola, a solid WR4 in Martin, an electrifying receiving RB in Lewis and a very solid 2nd receiving RB in White.

It's a need, but it isn't as major as OL, TE2 who can block and catch or LB depth, imo.

I just don't get why, given all of our talented receiving options, people are making our WR situation sound as bad as 2006.

Yeah, **** locking up our existing players let's sink $40m into a warm body - which is seriously the only thing available this offseason other than aging vets.
My point wasn't made to offend anyone. I'm just tired of people using the point that our offense was unstoppable before injuries hit us as an excuse to not upgrade the WR position which is essentially Edelman and crew right now. Bill clearly thinks the position needs help targeting all these receivers in FA.

Uhhhh, bro...

Mediocre WRS aren't getting 7 million from us.

Other teams are spending stupidly. Notice we aren't?

Don't forget that we still have to lock up Hightower, Butler, and Collins. There are much more important things we need to do.
We have room to sign those players and have a running back.

It better be for less than Marvin Jones, Rishard Matthews, and Travis Benjamin got.
I haven't even heard any other teams in on him. The offer better be dirt cheap.

We have a top 5 WR in Edelman...

I love Edelman. Dude is a PPR beast and may use a 5th rounder on him as a keeper.

But I'm curious. When you say "top 5"... top 5 what exactly?

Top 5 in the afc east?
Maybe top 5 white WRs?

The only thing that is obvious is that Forte was open to sharing RB duties AND staying in Chicago.....

Cut your losses and admit you were wrong in both counts
What is obvious is that Lankford emerged when Forte was injured. That is a fact. Your opinions are your opinions, and I, as usual, disagree.

You'd think a guy whose team has their division annually dominated by the Patriots would appreciate their top receiver...

Belichick is purposely throwing the season. I mean, he's off playing around with some college kids. It's outrageous! Who can stand it? How does he know what is going on? He doesn't tweet or myface. He's lost. Hanging out now he's trying to underpay the employees! Such arrogance! And here comes the draft where he's even more incompetent. The game has passed him by. I wish he played Xbox and would try playing Madden, he'd learn a thing or three.

Shouldn't you be more concerned that the best QB in Jets history is a free agent?

Jacksonville is overpaying because they have to. They knew that they'd have to do that, and they were ready.

Is cap space a good thing anymore? GMs weigh in
Generally a lot of cap space means you have little talent.
Theoretically, you could have 3 good draft classes, cut everyone else and have enough money to sign a bunch of 'stars'. But the approach of lusting after top tier FAs has never proven to lead to consistent success, if success at all.

I do. Seriously the guy is great! But top 5? Just trying to gauge sanity.
