While Jax or MIA would give him 4 mill per

Jacksonville is overpaying because they have to. They knew that they'd have to do that, and they were ready.

"The nature of free agency is -- you're going to overpay," Caldwell said at the NFL combine, per NFL.com. "You want a player? You're going to have to overpay to get him, and that's just the nature of the beast. There's a talent pool, and this year there's a large pool of money, especially in North Florida."

He finds himself in an interesting position. The Jaguars are one of six teams -- Giants, Rams, 49ers, Raiders and Bears -- that have more than $50 million available to spend this offseason on free agency, no matter how good the market ends up being.

Is cap space a good thing anymore? GMs weigh in

Two more unknowns visiting CB/ST Sherrick McManis, former Bears, and DE Frank Kearse, former Redskins.

I'm licking my chops at those corners. I wonder what Grimes would cost, I freakin' love that guy... Even if his wife is a nut case.

Butler + Grimes with Ryan & Roberts competing to be the third corner? Yes please! Oh, and he was cut by Miami so he wouldn't even factor into the comp pick formula.

I like hall because of his scheme versatility. He might struggle a bit outside at this point in his career, but he can still cover the slot really well. I don't want Grimes at all though, I thought he looked a good deal worse last year (kinda expected since he's 33 and pretty small) and his wife is that rare level of crazy that I don't want anywhere near this team.

We really, really don't need this **** in Foxboro: http://deadspin.com/latest-miko-grimes-twitter-rant-torches-ryan-tannehill-1749922349

Let the premature end of Brent's career be a lesson to athletes everywhere: marrying crazy comes with a very, very steep price.

Streater would honestly excite me more than Sanu. Atleast he has real upside and can play outside. Probably for a third of the price too.

Streeter=4.46 speed. versus 4.68 speed in Sanu. You have a point.

I was puzzled about Streeter so I saw this article. Kid might be a steal.

Why Streater Is Raiders' Most Underrated X-Factor

for 2015:
He missed the first two-plus weeks of training camp with an undisclosed illness. Streater is a versatile player capable of handling any of the three wide receiver positions.

Rod Streater is reportedly still on the Raiders' active/NFI list due to an "illness."

ESPN's Adam Caplan reports Streater "lost some weight" due to the illness, which remains undisclosed.

Sanu and Streeter arived in the NFL the same time (2012) Their schools Temple and Rutgers where just miles apart. The Raiders made Streeter sit in 2015 and he was hurt in 20154 and still had 8 TDs with crap for QBs to Sanu's 11 TDs.

I am optimistic and he is an East Coast kid.

Streater hasn't played in 2 years? What is his deal?
Broken foot in 2014 and sick the begining of 2015 on NFLI

I wonder if we'll get to 10 people the Patriots had in today....

OK, seven visits today. How many do we sign? My thoughts are two.

Gotta love how you ignore what is said and just go on some strawman rant.

Hicks is likely gone to Chicago. Especially with the funny money being thrown around. The three guys who are all but guaranteed spots are Branch, Malcolm Brown, and Easley (if he can stay healthy). The Pats also have Chris Jones (returning from injury), Kitchen, and Vellano. For ends, they have Ninkovich, Jones, and Sheard followed by Grissom, Rufus Johnson, and Flowers. Ends they might be ok, depending on how Johnson and Flowers return from their injuries.. But there is plenty of talk going around that the Patriots should trade Jones because of the ridiculous money that Vernon Olivier and Malik Jackson got.

So, I could easily see the Pats looking at DT and DE in the draft over WR.

WR isn't as much of a priority as ILB/MLB. Right now the Pats have Jonathan Freeny and Bostic now that Mayo and Fletcher have both retired.

Do the Pats have a true need at CB or TE? Pats are 4 deep at CB that people are comfortable with so taking one outside the 2-4 rounds is more likely than not. And I could easily see the Patriots taking Vitale or Gronkowski and making them an H-back. There is also AJ Derby who is recovering from injury. The Pats supposedly really liked him.

Nothing you've said changes the fact that O-line and D-line are the deepest positions in the draft. And nothing you've said changes the fact that the Pats need a development RT, an ILB/MLB, and likely a DT much more than WR.

Riddle me. Who are our WR please?
You are much smarter than that. You knoew WR is a major need.

I agree that Jones should be traded a year early just like they did with Seymour. I think the Pats got Solder and a few others (can't remember) for letting go a player they knew they could NOT keep. This is the same thing.

Seymour was still a top DL but they would not have maximized his worth. I agree on that point. If they trade Jones, a pick should be considered on DL, but WR is still an issue.
