Hogan is the definition of a JAG
I do not consider a 225lb guy who runs a 4.5 forty, benches 225lbs 28 times, and performs the 3-cone in 6.75 seconds just another guy.

You would have likely called Welker, Amendola, and Edelman JAGs after their first 3 years in the NFL as well.

Welker – 32 games, 96 catches, 1121 yards, 1 touchdown
Amendola – 30 games, 128 catches, 1015 yards, 4 touchdowns
Edelman – 39 games, 48 catches, 479 yards, 1 touchdown
Hogan – 48 games, 87 catches, 959 yards, 6 touchdowns

Bills also don't have that much cap space so we could easily submit a poison pill offer sheet that the Bills won't match.
I believe they are illegal in the NFL now. Even if they were legal the NFL would claim that we tried to poison Rex and suspend BB for the remainder of his life for being generally aware that poison exists.

Ben Grubbs released in KC.

Let's sign him.

Released with an injury designation - related to the neck injury he suffered last year. Doesn't sound good, only worth the risk if some shady trainer sends HGH to his wife.

And the best of those four had the worst stats after 3 years.

I'm pretty sure they are only illegal to offer sheets issued to players under the transition tag

I would have as well. But remember guys..he wants to win

I don't think we were ever reported as expressing any interest in him though. Maybe we lowballed him with 2 million or some crap. I don't understand why.

chris hogan? lol

yes to white wr's....hope the jets cut decker!!!

Really Bill? You couldn't compete with that?

FFS if 5/15 is too f.ucking much when its reported everywhere that you actually want him then you won't get anyone!

Between this and Forte going for 4 million I'm now in a really bad mood. 9 million bucks for Forte and Matthews and two gigantic needs are filled. How will you get a better deal than that?

Hogan seems a little redundant with Amendola and Edelman on the roster. Maybe BB is eyeing him as an Amendola replacement. Either that, or a guy that can come in and get open quickly in the highly likely event that Amendola (or Edelman) gets injured. Either way, if I'm Amendola, I'm watching this carefully. His cap hit is too high for what he's given the team (2014 playoffs aside). He'll either be asked to restructure or he will get cut.

So you're saying that he will be signing with the Colts.

Bills don't have much cap space left, so it would be unlikely that they'd match an offer sheet to Hogan. I don't mind going into next season with a WR corps of Edelman/Amendola/Hogan/Martin/Dobson or rookie.

Wow, with the numbers coming out for Matthews and Forte, I'm sitting here scratching my head.....why the heck couldn't offer the exact same or slightly higher?

I don't think this puts Amendola's roster spot in any jeopardy; who are they going to replace him with? No one left in free agency is as good as he is, and worse players like Mohamed Sanu are getting paid substantially more money in free agency than he's due next year, and they're all getting long-term deals.

Hogan plays in the slot and outside, while Amendola plays almost exclusively in the slot. Like you said, given how injury-prone Amendola and Edelman are and how important they are to the offense, having versatile insurance for them who can also play alongside them is really important. Hogan's, at worst, no less capable than Sanu and is likely to come much cheaper.

Cause Belichick is a notoriously stingy GM.

Decker might cost a bit more than a half eaten hot dog and a can of warm, flat soda. So no chance we can compete for his signature. But we will inquire about it though thus putting us in the mix of teams that were interested in him.

5 mill a year for matthews..3 years...2.5 guaranteed

Matthews wouldn't have came here anyways..he said the titans offer more opportunity in his mind..aka he was never coming here

And Forte wants to win..and no better team than the Jets....HA
