OT: Chiefs punished for tampering

Once again, Goodell as his Draconian policies of implementing governance without consistent, well-reasoned discipline with precedent bites him in the ass.

lol Thats some bulls**t, The jets never lost any pick when they tempered for Revis.

I found the problem:
Hunt said. “As an organization, we take great care to conduct ourselves with integrity and operate within the guidelines of the NFL. We have been fully cooperative and transparent with the league in this matter"
History says when you are transparent, and try to be open about an investigation, Goodell f**ks you over.
Examples:
1. Ray Rice telling Goodell what he did ---> Goodell claims Rice lies
2. Patriots/Brady being open in investigation --> claims of obstruction, of lieing, etc
3. Saints being open in investigation --> everyone fined/suspended
4. Incognito case --> release of texts that have nothing to do with hazing

But when you actually obstruct, nothing happens:
Examples:
1. Ray Lewis (this one is before Goodell, but Goodell kept it going by treating him like a saint)
2. Jets tampering, and every other Jet's incident
3. Suspious towels (with maybe stickem on them) that disappeared (i think this was a SD game)
4. Peyton Manning -- actually that one doesn't even matter since the NFL isn't going to investigate. A real sports league would still investigate even if the player has retired.
5. NoiseGate in indy

And the Chiefs will appeal

Clark Hunt: Tampering penalty inconsistent with past discipline

Take note Robert Kraft you pansy.

I'm all for taking Kraft to task for caving in to the league, but Hunt was one of the the 31 telling him to just accept the penalties and not appeal.

When Hunt's team is the one getting whacked, his reaction is much different. It's a fantasy, but I hope RK reminds Clark Hunt of his stance a year ago and that he should just accept the penalties.

Today
We are all chiefs.

I know Benedict Bob won't support the chiefs. And I know as teams we've had our differences.

but this is ********.
Revis 100k fine.
**** this league.

Or get him on his side and overthrow this ****-tater of a commisioner

RK should fully support Hunt so that he might turn him against Goodell.

Goodell is just trying to create after the fact precedent of harsh punishments for everything, including what again could potentially be manufactured allegations.

Any chance the league is trying to make a case that they have no bias against the Pats because they also took away picks from other teams? The Chiefs is a small market franchise and they are being used here imo.

Basically what I was saying - "see judge, wildly inconsistent is the precedent!"

What a ****ing joke... This league is pathetic!!!!!?

Every team does it..they just got caught. Surprised they didn't frame the pats

Ridiculously inconsistent. That's the Goodell regime for you. We all remember what happened with the Revis tampering and the utter joke of a punishment.

Do I feel bad for Chiefs fans? Hell no. They suck and probably whined and *****ed that the Pats "got off easy" on Deflate gate.

Good on the owner for appealing BTW.

Had anyone heard the Chiefs were even being investigated for tampering? The way the announcement reads, it sounds like there was an investigation that went on. Where was the media on this? Where were all the leaks from the NFL?

So textbook tampering with an all pro CB on your division rival is $100,000 and the Chefs get this? The NFL is one corrupt motherf.cking league. It's the 8th wonder of the world that the Jets haven't won a super bowl in half a century and the league is actually run by them.

Seriously though, how can the Jets be only fined 100k, almost a year ago?

Yet the Chiefs are fined two draft picks plus a ton of cash, a full year later?

Even though both incident happened at the same time.....

That makes zero sense. #Integrity

Since this incident is from last year, I wonder if Goodell didn't delay the punishment so the contrast with the Revis slap on the wrist for tampering ( which happened at the same time) wouldn't be as obvious..or so he hoped....
