"But it’s one thing for the NFL to perpetuate falsehoods in its own bubble world, and quite another to do it in an actual court of law. That’s what happened before the Second Circuit appeals panel last week when NFL attorney Paul Clement improperly repeated untruths, and it should serve as evidence to those judges that the Brady arbitration is dishonest and should be tossed."

NFL deflated the truth — and owes the court a correction

What I love is the threat from the NY law professor that the NFL better send a letter of correction to the court or he will file a brief. One way or another these judges will know they were lied to.
Beautiful!!

Saw on the news this morning he already did....?

No letters or briefs have been filed with the Court, at least not publicly. I checked the docket just now.

I want to see this letter. I don't think he should threaten the NFL and then wait for a reply from them. He should just send it and post the letter he sent for everyone to see.

Such a rarity to find REAL journalists "Do Their Job" but Sally has been banging on the drums since the beginning. Never wavered, never stopping. Now if only the Boston media could pick up on that tacti.....oh wait. Nvm.

I'll be putting together an instructional video for the guys here on "how to explain your deep and abiding love for Sally Jenkins to your wife or significant other" later on today. If I manage to survive explaining my love for Sally Jenkins to my wife that is.

McCann makes the same points today on SI.

New hope for Brady? Rethinking Deflategate appeal
Richard Zaiger, former regional director of the Federal Labor Relations Authority: “How would Judge Chin be able to make the comment he did about the ‘overwhelming’ evidence against Brady? If I had to guess, I'd speculate that the judges at most read the briefs and Goodell's decision on appeal and nothing else. If I had to guess, at this point I'd say Berman's decision on ‘notice’ will not be accepted. The process questions regarding Pash and the documents, however, remain. If those rulings stand then the case could get bucked back to Berman to address the issues Berman did not address and to reevaluate the remedy.
What florio said too. Kessler shouldve responded in his brief to the nfl brief, attacking the NFL for defaming and reaching in its brief but he underestimated how solely focus on the briefs than berman's process they will be.

Hard for me to believe "Kessler should have" done more/less than what he's done/not done... Kessler took over at a time that things seemed to be going downhill or, at the very least, when the narrative was very negative. He came in, did his job, and Brady played all 16 regular season games.

I have nothing against you, Internet poster and fellow fan, but I'm confident in both Brady & Kessler.

I just don't see how the NFL can LEGALLY win at this point.

There's absolutey nothing going in their favor and their case was absolute crap to begin with.

This is just the icing on the cake.

I have nothing against kessler, he has been stellar as well. Just relaying what florio said. He was caught off guard by the whole questioning.

Power and influence... for all we know, Ted Wells and 1 or 2 of these judges could play poker together every month at the golf club

That woman reporter/writer deserved 55 mil...

Yet, for the most part, other than around here.............this information, along with Steph from zhoustons great stuff and McCann, Hurley, etc is ignored or simply not acknowledged.

It's as if ,outside of the friends of Tom Brady circle, nothing but crickets, crickets and more crickets are found.

This is serious stuff here........actual lies by counsel in a court of law, ignored ? How can this possibly be ignored or swept under the rug?

Very important that this is in The Washington Post, since that is a paper that Appellate Judges and their clerks tend to read.

Glad to see, though, that the CHB and the MCI were all over this story for the Globe before Ms. Jenkins.
