I figured I'd post this to provide a break from all of the Peyton Manning ball washing on sports talk radio today.

I recently purchased a Super Bowl XXXIX ticket supposedly from the estate of Bill Polian. Imagine all of the anger and frustration that rubbed off on that ticket as the Patriots just won their 3rd Super Bowl and the Colts were still at ZERO! I sent him a twitter message asking him to confirm just to see if anything happens. Maybe he'll confirm that he sold the ticket, maybe he'll tell me off. Who knows.

Also, as part of my collection I am looking for the below ticket stubs from the 2014-15 season. If anyone is looking to sell any of these please message me!

Week 1 @ Dolphins
Week 4 @ Chiefs
Week 16 @ Jets
Div vs Ravens
AFCC vs Colts

so what does a ticket stub go for, for us non historical ticket collectors.

Didn't Florio report that he died?

Why would Polian need to buy a ticket if his team could make it there?

The Colts were at ONE at that point (SB V).

Yeah I was about to say, when did Polian die? Sounds like the OP got scammed.
I only paid $30 for the ticket in mint/near mint condition. I was going to buy it regardless of the Polian claim.

It really depends on the condition of the ticket. The Super Bowl 39 stub I paid $30 for. I also bought a 36 for $50 and a unused 49 stub for $75. I bought two 38 stubs in ok condition for $40, that one seems to be the hardest to find.

and now..in salute to Bill "Dead" Polian...Stanley Matis sings "The Dead Guy"

Son, when I was your age you could go to the Super Bowl for $600 and ice cream was a nickel.
