First sorry about calling you all kinds of names. after all i'm just an obnoxious pats fan.

I loved rooting against you and your team, colts and broncos. I loved trolling colts forums. Loved talking trash to broncos fans in denver. This historic rivalry will be remembered forever. You were a great QB, and a worthy foe. i enjoyed all the ups and downs. pats beating your team was the greatest feeling ever. pats losing to your team was the worst feeling ever. and yes, i'll miss watching you and brady shaking hands at the end.

Those of us who love this game will miss you and the great rivalry we had.
and I don't care what others say, I'll miss you, Peyton Manning.

Joe

You'll get a mixed reaction on this, and maybe understandably so, but I'll take the high road with you on this one. I can't deny that I'll miss these match ups.

Peyton Manning makes Tom Brady's legacy all the greater.

Manning will always be regarded as one of the greatest to play the position and will be regarded by many as the greatest Regular Season QB in the history of the NFL. But Brady will be the GOAT.

Imagine if TB had gotten to all those SB's and AFCCG's by beating up on a bunch of wannabes and one hit wonders like Cutler, Flacco, Gannon, Luck, Plummer and Rivers? Imagine if the consensus was that Big Ben was the only "quality" QB he had to get by, year after year? Imagine if people associated his legacy primarily with winning a Division headlined by Mark Sanchez, Brian Tannenhill and whoever's starting in Buffalo these days?

People will ultimately look back on Brady as having played at the same time as the great Peyton and as having won twice as many rings as he did.

A rock solid 3rd best qb of all time.

I tend to agree with this except losing to his brother was worst feeling ever those losses to him hurt but nowhere near as bad as his brother. Now I'm going to go YouTube Butler highlights just to wash the taste out of my mouth having typed this up.

I wonder how many Superbowl wins he would have if Brady hadn't gotten in his way. Probably still two....

Well done on the Brian Tannehill thing if it was intentional. That was great

Great QB, great rivarly, POS human being.

Now I'm really being a downer in this thread but how many would we have if not for Archie's demon spawns.

Greatest football rivalry of our time.
Fantastic watching this rivalry up close over these past years.
Williams-DiMaggio, Bird-Magic, Brady-Manning.

Another thread?

1. brady
2. manning
3. montana
4. marino
5. favre
6. young
7. elway

my list of the best QBs i've ever seen. i can't really comment on QBs pre 1980. i'm sure baugh, graham, unitas were great, but i haven't seen them play and frankly i think QB position has evolved so much. i know montana has 4 impeccable ring, but i think peyton has done more and would've won more SBs if he had those loaded niners team.

IMO, manning completes BB/brady. manning was a great nemesis. brady/manning era will forever be remembered.

Agree ... I've had some good ones in my lifetime and that's the best NFL one for me.

Not quite Bird vs Magic as they did not compete 1 v 1 but still great.

So who is enemy #1 now.
