Ffs. He's terrible. I thought we found this out in the preseason last year, the guy just isn't an NFL player.

I think it was a very underrated problem that we were missing Develin. Would've helped out the running game a good deal.

So the plan is to move forward with Boyce and Dobson this is insane Boyce for vet min to be training camp fodder I hope.
We need to spend some coin.

wow, that's unexpected. Seems like there's a pretty severe mental hurdle with him. By all accounts he looks great in practice, but once we see him on the field his hands are just atrocious. I'm of the mindset that if he hasn't put it together by now, I doubt he ever will. Apparently Belichick is still holding out a small measure of hope for him, though? Still betting he's just preseason fodder unless he shows up in a big way.

Makes sense for Develin. One healthy year should fetch him a significantly better deal on the open market than he would've got this offseason after missing a full year.

Yeah, with LaFell and Tyms gone the team doesn't have many receivers with knowledge of the playbook on the roster. Boyce could simply be preseason fodder to allow the team to run practice while whatever new additions at WR get up to speed. And if he somehow learns to catch, maybe he sticks.

The Problem with Josh Boyce is he never had knowledge of our playbook...we could find better on the streets.

Yeah, I don't know. Not many pure fullbacks get signing bonuses.
This could be a series of one-year deals for the next five years.
Belichick clearly loves him. The team loves him. But he's not going to overpay for a fullback.
Happy he is back.

Boyce?
Assuming it is a pretty much straight salary deal. Low cost, no bonus, he has to earn a spot.

Wow. I couldn't disagree more. Plus, it's pretty clear BB loves him and I'd say that tends to count for a lot.
