That's not what he did. He just gave a cute answer about how Belichick never shows bad plays from the other team, and while it still probably didn't fly well, it really wasn't incendiary either.

They probably have a plan with where they are going and it doesn't involve LaFell so they are doing him a solid and cutting him now so other teams have all of free agency to look at him.

Have a plan and he's not part of it going into FA and the draft...so dropped now

They were probably just done with him related and need his cap space now to find an upgrade.

Neither move were surprising. Both guys were costing far more in 2016 their value in 2015 warranted.

sanders would of been a dream. cheap contract as well...

Would be very happy drafting Braxton Miller or Josh Doctson but after what happened at OG last year, I can't believe that BB will be happy going into the season having to put a rookie at WR. I would absolutely love Marvin Jones for LaFell's role but doubt that happens. He's a perfect Pats receiver though imho.

Patriots are left with Edelman, Amendola, Keshawn, Dobson, Harper, Slater at WR. Safe to say that's now the No. 1 need this offseason.

BB has to have a plan or a trade in place for March 9th. He is not rolling with rookies at the position again.

I guess they didn't think his drop in production was due completely to injury. Either that, or the injury doesn't look like it will ever fully heal. Either way, this backs up my theory that we're going to see a splash at the position in FA.

Chandler just sucked all kinds of badly. Major disappointment.

Four clear needs on Offense now:

WR
RB
TE2 (unless they feel good about AJ Derby)
OT3 (have to assume Cannon is a goner).

Never understood why they never went back to that 3-to-4 TE seton the goal line that worked so well the first couple of games.

Would like to see one of the Colts tight ends and 2 of Marvin Jones,Josh Gordon,Calvin Johnson, Rod Streater, Andre Holmes.
