"Name one outside receiver that has ever been extremely successful that plays on the outside that's played for the Patriots ever, besides Randy Moss"

What would be the best example? This is coming from his barstool video today. He spoke very highly of the pats, but offered this as a reason that he didn't succeed.

Also said it wasn't that he couldn't learn the playbook, as football is the same everyone. only the verbiage changes. but there are basically just 9 routes.

Edelman, since contrary to myth, he plays more snaps outside than in the slot.

Then you might have to go to Branch, though his role changed over time. When Troy was still at his top, Deion was outside.

Then Patten and Givens.

It's true that the middle of the field has been a larger part of our offense, but OchoStinko is just making excuses

Sick of that stereotype. "Oh, he's white and under 6 feet tall, so he is a slot receiver then." No, he's not. He's a straight up Wide Receiver.

His time with the Pats summed up with one picture:

Chad catches poison ivy ...

I don't wanna take what he said out of context too much. He then said that our offense goes from the inside out and is designed for quick slot receivers, TEs, and RBs. And then added that he's just not randy moss

Branch
Patten
Givens

Next question

Branch
Patten
Givens

Next question

Let's redefine the question to be 'in the last 10 years' and I actually think he's got a point, but I'm just not sure what the issue is.

Fixed it for you ;)

Somehow I think if the Pats had signed Chad Johnson instead of Ochocinco they might've gotten more out of him...

Give me a goddamn break with this thinly veiled attempt to blame the system and QB in order to deflect accountability for his own suckiness.

He was 33 when he played here. He lost a step. He couldnt play in this offense. If he went 70/1000/8 somewhere a year later then maybe he might be credible but a year later he was out of the league. He was washed up. He's a jerk

Rob Gronkowski...

when he feels like it.
