Patriots Fans' Petition To Reclaim Lost Draft Picks Nearing 5,000 Signatures

Curious why this petition doesn't have more signatures. Has it gotten enough exposure? Just curious.

I'm in the camp of, "It's not going to do anything, even if we get 50,000 signatures."

Yes, I signed it.

I would recommend hitting social media asking everyone to sign this.... with the disclaimer that it's probably fruitless (just to not make ourselves look like complete idiots).

What they need is Brady to come out and like it on his facebook.

I don't think it's the government's place to get involved in this. How about Brady, Goodell, and Obama have a beer and straighten this out? :p

and a group hug!:)

I did sign it very early on, but I agree that it is going to be a futile effort. Roger isn't ever going to give an inch and with Kraft bending over for him, why should he? When the owner can't stand up for the team and its fans, don't expect the bad guy at NFL HQ to do the right thing.

No matter how many signatures, these petitions rarely ever accomplish anything

That's the attitude that many people take about voting. Yet, at the local level, when people get out to vote, things do change.

The fact that Mr. DeRochea has come on here and given feedback as to things that are going on and pointed out how this has already gotten to the national level (Peter King, Jerry Thornton, Steph Stradley) is such a short time should offer more than a glimmer of hope.

Sign the petition.. The worst that can happen is that nothing changes.. However, the more coverage this gets, the more likely things can change..

This just in .... 50,000 Jets fans petitioning the NFL for an honorary Super Bowl trophy.

A jets fan signature is an 'X' scrawled in crayon on an Arby's napkin.

That number is IMHO low enough to give the League confidence that there's not much popular support for the idea.
Yeah. Sometimes good intentions don't produce the desired results...111,000,000 people watched the Super Bow.

However, it was down significantly and didn't come close to meeting projections (they thought it was going to have more viewers than the Pats / Seahawks SB.)

Which is why it could be the start of something else too such as a supporters group that can then collectively tell Kraft what a gutless twat he is face to face at a table

Yeah. Down by 3 million in the US.
That's why I argued with those who were suggesting "the fix was in" to keep the Pats out of the SB. The ratings would have been through the roof if Brady had played...can you imagine the breathless story lines from the mediots all week...what will Brady do if he wins and gets to face down Goodell? How will Goodell deal with having to present the Trophy and SB MVP to Brady? 120 million instead of 111 million...money in the bank for the NFL...which is really all the Owners care about.
