Why "Shady" May Walk | Big Trial | Philadelphia Trial Blog

What say you?

Out of the question after you've already read the headline?

Click the link, because there is another side to this.

I still think it's hard to imagine many scenarios where he walks away completely scot-free, but it doesn't appear that he'll be facing the felony aggravated assault charges that he was initially looking at (which would've certainly resulted in some type of jail/prison time).

Perhaps they are trying to determine what the best course of action is in terms of the specific charges that will be brought forth against him? As we know, there are plenty of other things that he could be charged with which would prove to be no big deal, and could come with probation or a suspended sentence.

If the "officer" grabbed Shady's friend by the throat, body-slammed him to the ground, and was on top of him, I don't see how you can charge someone with anything at all for simply trying to stop this from happening. The cop was just another guy on the street at the time, reasonable people understand.

If...and I say IF...this is what happened according to the reports.

Sounds like other people besides McCoy may be the ones that did any damage to anyone else, and the cops themselves may have broken the law as well along the line. Doesn't matter that they were cops, again...not in the scenario of the actual incident.

My thing is the rush to judgment and the immediate uninformed conclusions drawn. Just read the title of the thread "Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy assaulted two off-duty Philadelphia police officers." Uh-huh, like this has already been established as fact.

Don't kid yourself, either: the best PC move is definitely part of the equation.

He won't face any charges if this is the story that's sticking. The DA is highly unlikely to bring charges, because based on the most recent account it would open the city to a lawsuit, which at the very least will cost a ton of time and money to fight. And Shady's got the money to hire a solid legal team which could knock the city a new one.

Could McCoy face disciplinary action from the league? Sure, but that's separate.

Can you please tell me why this thread was started, thank
