WR Josh Gordon

Its so intriguing that I ultimately don't think it will happen. If the Browns know he is going to be reinstated then why would they trade him?

His situation too uncertain for a team that is rebuilding to count on him being there if his next hit is a lifetime ban. It's further compounded by the fact that they just went through more of the same **** with Manziel.

If I'm the Browns I've got to consider the possibility that this guy falls back into the same behavior and they now get nothing for him.

For me he is worth trading for. He has now despite that indiscretion having thought the season had finished all in tense and purposes been clean for 2 years. I think the league has been totally overly harsh on its actions towards Gordon. Am I right in thinking whilst banned he wasn't allowed near the team facility. Which makes it even harder and more impressive that he seems to have sorted his demons considering how hard the NFL has been towards him. Could quite of easily gone the other way.. and yes I would of partly blamed the NFL for it too if he had.

Thats a tweet 2 days ago from an account with just 2000 followers.

I think from an organisational standpoint there are few spots in the NFL that would be better for him than New England. You have a very stable organisation that's contending for a championship every year, you have Tom Brady at QB and a pretty good locker room and a need for a big receiving target. A good season here under Belichick and he can really rebuild his value just in time for free-agency. The only other place I can think of where the fit would be similarly good would be Green Bay.

And he liked tweets about him going to NE or the Giants so don't crush my dreams :)

Lol hes liked all types of tweets like that. Pats, Giants, Ravens, Eagles, Cowboys..

^You don't think the Patriots would be a good destination for him or why that dislike? :D

Coming to NE is the biggest F-U he could give to Goodell. But then it also makes him an even bigger target for Goodell, would probably falsify a failed drug test on him if he came.

There is no way the Cowboys or Giants should get him...they already have some of the Best the position. The Patriots owe Brady a Elite WR enough is enough get Josh Gordon and move on.

Apologies man.. That dislike was an accident.

Thats what i get for surfing Pats fans half asleep lol

It seems every off season that many on this board lust for a receiver, "who can take the top off of the defense" or "stretch the field".. all of that is fine and dandy, but we seem to have the answers already. Prior to the rash of injuries this team was an offensive juggernaut, so unless you can get him at a league minimum with incentives would not consider him.

Does he have the aptitude to be able to grasp this offense??... not everyone can.

It's certainly a question. Based on the YouTube above BB considers Gordon a lot more than a deep threat.

Indeed.

Calling Joshua Gordon simply a Deep Threat is like calling Matt Forte a Third Down Back.

Yes. Somebody actually did.

I've been wrong before but it sure seems that BB and JM could find a way to incorporate this kind of talent into the offense, this is not the same as Ochocinco at the end of his career. This is freakin' Josh Gordon in his prime!!!!

"Josh Freaking Gordon" who cannot focus enough to stay clean and play football.. do not see it, too much risk.

Once he is reinstated, teams will be crazy to not try and gamble on obtaining one of the best WR talents the league has ever seen. Gordon was the best WR in the league in 2013. The stats he put up in 14 games with three mediocre QBs are unreal.

Based on his twitter activity, he's motivated and wants to play here.

7 rec 151 yards 1 TD must be Talib's worst game as a pro in the last 3 seasons too. He would change the game on how Denver could defend us.

Most of all, he could play here for peanuts for two more seasons. Brady would have an elite WR for potentially his last two gos at the SB at a bargain cap hit.

I want this move more than any other in recent memory in FA.

I think out of all the WR's I have seen play: Josh Gordon is the closest I have seen to Megatron! yes he's that DAM! good.

Mistakes are? ;) His latest, was it drinking a glass of champagne after the team season finished on the flight home but not the NFL season closing date.
Granted, that was petty of the league to suspend him for a glass of champagne. However, now after TWO suspensions, his back's against the wall. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) that a third violation could result in a lifetime ban. I wouldn't want to see that happen, especially if he were a Patriot. That's why I'm against taking a chance on him, despite his phenomenal talent. Jmo...

After seeing how the league suspended Ray Rice for 2 games I hardly see how they need to throw the book at Gordon.

It's beyond petty.
