The more time that goes on, the more I have trouble rooting for Kraft

Hell ... we could have had James Orthwein ...

Nobody is perfect ... I'll take Bob Kraft 12 out of 12 ... Tweet that Mort.

Brady also knew he would lose the appeal to Goodell, as his legal team said so from the beginning. However, you have to exhaust available internal options before a US court would even consider hearing it. So, Kraft essentially ensured he could never, ever appeal this to anyone, ever, because he didn't even opt to appeal, which was wide open to him and part of the NFL's process.
Plus, the vast majority of people (in the media and elsewhere) saying he couldn't win are not lawyers. And of the ones who are lawyers, the vast majority are not labour lawyers. And of the labour lawyers, none of them are the judge presiding over the case.

Defending his team against claims of cheating that cannot be proven, and in fact can be disproven is childish.
How would they get more penalties? The NFL has determined that the Patriots will have another pick taken away from them because they didn't agree with and support publicly our decision to trump up charges and take away picks. If they do not hold a press conference in 24 hours thanking the NFL for taking away this pick, we will take away more.
im referring to the idiotic idea that people wanted to do things like keep NFL officals out of the stadium and deny press credentials to ESPN reporters. But kraft has specifically said how Deflategate is BS and completely overblown, he also called out the NFL for leaking the story; fans seemingly want him to hold a Allen iverson-esq press conference and then release a dis track.

there is no legal precedent for suing a league over loss draft picks, what legal basis would you use for something like that?

Krafty is a shareholder with a 1/32 stake in the Corporation. Everything else is just song and dance. BB and Brady have added multiples to Kraft's net worth and Brady's reward is performing at below market salaries and fighting the fight alone.

Most people here seem to be leaving Godildo blameless while firing missles at Kraft. I find that "odd".

Why do people with no actual sense of history try to put WWII on Chamberlains shoulders and leave Hitler blameless?

That is the stupidest garbage I've ever read. o_O

The fact that you have to fantasize that anyone fails to understand that Goodel and Hitler were the Real Evils that Kraft and Chamberlain cowardly caved into is hilarious...and a bit terrifying.

Poor little Tommy

meh..I'm unimpressed. I broke into a rundown closed up Holiday Inn last night and slept on the floor..

He needed to go Al Davis on the NFL and he didnt. He should have stuck up for his guy and his fans and he rolled over....
He didn't want to make life difficult for Jonathan when he takes over. Look at Mark Davis in Oakland. Owners still hold it against him for what his father did. Bob knows this that's why he stood down.

How about you have to do something wrong before you can be penalized. That might work.
doesnt work like that,it be nice but it doesnt. Goodel violated the CBA by suspending brady; there is no labor law protection for the Patriots as there was for Brady.

Whoa. You cannot compare Mark to Jonathan.

I'm not one to use an image of a haircut to judge someone but Come on. Something is mentally wrong with the dude on the left. No one sports a bowl cut like that.

They are not judging Mark Davis because of his dad its because of that bowl cut. hahaha

The fact that people are trying to compare Krafts role in losing draft picks to Chamberlains role in the most horrific event in the history of the human race is idiotic......and a bit terrifying.

Hmmm...let's see. How can we compare the deaths of 60 million people to the loss of 2 draft picks.....oh, yeah. That's a totally rational correlation.

So your argument is that you once heard someone suggest he should do things that would be stupid so therefore he is justified to do nothing?
Weak. Very weak.

Ok then. Your opinion differs from mine. Of course he had reasons to challenge his own partners decisions.
Goodell is not his partner. He is an EMPLOYEE of he and his partners. And yes of course he has a right to challenge unfair treatment.

Does this perspective make sense? I understsand the angst toward Kraft, but I'm laser beam focused on the real A-hole.
No it makes no sense in the context of krafts failure to protect his franchise against goodells actions.

Your straw man that to hold Kraft accountable to protecting the franchise against being stolen from means you are blaming him instead of goodell is not representative of what anyone has posted. But you know that.

I understand the frustration. But what avenues were available to Kraft? Haven't we been over this? He had no options. So he figured he would sacrifice the picks in the hopes that it would mollify Goodell and keep Goodell from coming down on Brady. He was wrong, and he acknowledged as such.

It's easy to say he was a coward; what was he supposed to do?

Sometimes you need to take a stand on principle. It's what a man does.

Can't say I've ever rooted for an owner. As a long time fan, I'm pretty happy to root for the team and stadium he provided.

Wonder how many more recent fans can wrap their heads around playing with no stadium or one thrown up like one of those tin shack warehouses.

Pretty sure I wouldn't have rooted for the St. Louis Stallions.
