The more time that goes on, the more I have trouble rooting for Kraft

I admire that you have a different opinion and aren't afraid to be the in the minority here in this thread. In fact, I suspect a lot of people who don't agree with my post gave it an eye roll long ago and that was the end of their involvement.

I do think that your reasoning here is flawed, though. Hey, where would the USSR have been had Stalin not fought off Germany in WWII? Where would the German economy have been in the late 1930s had there not been a great ruler who came in and restored national pride and financial independence? In both cases, these countries were greatly indebted and eternally grateful that their nations had been restored, and their citizens wrongly offered little resistance in giving those ruling parties unchecked power going forward.

I realize how trite and overboard it is comparing events to WWII, but I think we do so because they are very emotional, vivid examples that most people can relate to. In both cases, I make the point just to illustrate that just because a leader may be responsible for great feats, or even the survival of a nation in the past, does mean they should be immune from any criticism in subsequent dealings. Absolutely the same can be applied to businesses all across the world today; CEOs who have saved companies or been instrumental in their ascent may not necessarily be worthy of praise today, nor does their past achievements excuse them for decisions that negatively effect company employees or shareholders today.

In addition to that, the criticism of Kraft here has little to do with Kraft as a business owner or Kraft as a savior who kept the team from relocating in the 1990s; in fact, it doesn't even have anything to do with Kraft as a savvy owner, even if we are to take the most optimistic view possible at his involvement in player development and influence over the team, being a key reason for their success. Even if we believe that, what is fundamentally wrong with his Deflategate dealings are just in another category altogether. This has to do with something much more visceral to so many fans. The idea that what you've watched over the last fifteen years was the result of cheating, in the wake of many legitimate scandals like Lance Armstrong and the baseball steroids stuff...well, it's beyond comprehension how an owner could care so little about his own fans and the way they'd like to be perceived, and that he would seemingly roll over like such a spineless coward...it's kind of disgusting.

Than don't buy his product.

he ****ed out on the deflategate thing, but boo hooo. its bullcrap, and he was never gonna win it back.

The "fans" who are all over Kraft on this are exactly the same as the haters around the league.

Please explain...I have to say, your posts have been entertaining thus far. Looking forward to some real enjoyment in reading your explanation...please, feel free to elaborate and don't feel confined to fit it within a short word count.

This isn't the boy scouts. The Patriots are a business first and foremost.

Which makes it even worse that Kraft laid down during Spygate and Deflategate. The two people most responsible for him making money hand over fist: Brady and Belichick got their characters and reputations assassinated while Krafty was more concerned about the "good of the other 31". Then he went and embraced the ******* that did it by way of hug right in front of the other ******* that enabled Goodell: Mara.

Ha ha, yeah It's all Kraft's fault.

Self explanatory.

Disagree completely. The haters don't need anything to hate they will use anything real or not to bash away, whereas most of those who are most upset with Kraft are hardcore Patriot fans who are really upset that not once but twice Kraft has allowed the league office and Scumbag commissioner to run roughshod over the franchise.

Oh but I disagree. In fact I'd say that the idea that Kraft has allowed "Scumbag commissioner to run roughshod over the franchise" not once but twice is a total fabrication. No different than "The haters don't need anything to hate they will use anything real or not to bash away".

Ah... so you're going to be just as useless up here as you are in the political forum. Got it. And yeah, it is. He could have stepped up to the plate and at least ran a blitzing media campaign. But something like that takes testicles to pull off. He has none.

Lmao, so in your world the haters are logic based and Kraft has fought back?

Smoke crack much?

Lets see, he owns the business, but you have the balls. Ok, keep on kidding yourself, I'm sure it'll take you a long way.

Self explanatory.

Thanks...I'm glad you were able to present the entire spectrum of your opinion. Since you are the subject of "self explanatory", it all makes sense.

Damn, Bob must have that good **** because some of you can't seem to remove from your mouth and/or ass. Good for him to not need Viagra in his old age.

I'm glad the lights gone on for you. See, it wasn't all that hard.

Charming. I'm sure the Patriots/Krafts would hate to lose a fan like you.

I don't think anybody who invokes Chamberlain's name ever leaves Hitler blameless. What an odd thing to say.
Most people here seem to be leaving Godildo blameless while firing missles at Kraft. I find that "odd".

Yes, he owns the business. That's why he should remember the golden rule of business: always protect your most prized assets. That would be Brady and Belichick. He failed to step up to the plate for either guy. It's part of the reason why Spygate is still talked about to this day and the reason Deflategate will be talked about for years to come. But he didn't want to rock the boat with the Billionaire Boys Club so he capitulated.

No actually that would be the franchise and the league it plays in.
