The more time that goes on, the more I have trouble rooting for Kraft

The best option would have been to at least lose with honor. Rolling over was tantamount to admitting your team cheated. The Pats received the harshest penalty ever. That will always be used as proof positive the Pats cheated. F'n idiot Kraft! Also, let's say it helped Brady get one a 1 game suspension or even no games. It would have just looked like Krt covered up Brady's cheating. The question should not be how likely it was that a Kraft fight over the penalty would succeed, but what did he have to lose? By fighting he would have kept his honor, the teams honor and supported Brady. And if he lost, well the Pats would simply be where they are now in terms of the penalty.
If he was doing it to help Brady he would have shown up at the appeal hearing. In fact he declined to even testify by phone.

Yes he did. And made a boat load of money too. The owners run the NFL. They are as one. You don't agree to that , you don't get in.
He did not make an additional dime by accepting this bs. In fact it surely cost him money from some fans.

I am not 100% sure on this. Kraft is a big investor in draftkings. Jones is a big investor in Fanduel. They were both looking at potentially billion dollar payouts if these continued as they were going before the law got involved. This is another potential reason why he backed down as he didn't want to rock the boat with the NFL while getting this up.

His BS measured fake outrage days before caving in, now that was being a phony.

To be blunt about it, he doesn't have to dance to your tune, he's the owner. The Patriots aren't a democracy. If you think he's full of it, so be it. He's still going to make money hand over fist. That's America. His money, his risk, his profit. Go support another team.

What an incredibly idiotic response.

He better spend money this off-season to make up for *****ing out to Roger with no 1st round pick.

I really don't put any thought into him or the issue anymore. He kept the team here so that's a huge motion in his direction...but i can see why people feel this way

Good point. I actually think Krafts comment after the Godell ruling was announced about doing it to help Brady was basically a lie and actually just damage control.

Robert Kraft? Blame Kraft? I am still trying to get over what Marcus Cannon and Cameron Flemming did to Brady and this fanbase to care enough about a billionaire traveling the world with some 23 year old hot blonde girlfriend . We beat Denver , those howls never happen!!! You know what DOES happens... Fans get even more bitter and the Brady hate gets worse. Haters gonna hate. Brady will never be universally liked, and because he's so gosh darn perfect in almost every facet of life ...even the SLIGHTEST dark mark is going to be amplified and shoved down our throats. Hater Gon' Hate.

The NFL popularity is an at an all time high and when a guy like Brady comes around and kicks your teams ass for 15+ years STRAIGHT the hate becomes Incredibly real. I've witnessed raider fans walk by a Brady picture in a local gym and stop to spit on it. True story. No matter what Kraft does in the spot he was in, the haters already had the fuel needed.

LOL who would really do such a thing?

I feel some of your frustration, but Kraft spends every single year.

What exactly is the criticism of Kraft here exactly? He didn't try and fight the crowd for booing Brady so he doesn't care about the team? I get it people are mad about losing picks but get over yourselves, if he did the childish crap people here wanted him to do all that would have happened would be more penalties.

Yeah I know he does I was thinking that as I wrote that post lol. Still upset and helpless about the lost pick, probably would feel better if he had put up some kind of fight to either keep it or get it back. Feel as if he owes the fan base this off-season with a high impact free agent acquisition.

I was just telling my friend the other day, "I bet Kraft sold out Brady for Draftkings".

So first thing, no one on this board should ever deposit another dollar to Draft Kings again, use one of the alternatives.

Second, this seems to be a great explanation for the adoring attitude from Kraft to Goodell. In fact, a no talent weasel like Goodell would likely do anything and everything to keep the only status and wealth he's ever encountered in life (at least insofar as a wage and a position, I know his family background). Behind closed doors, I would not put it past that rat to threaten Draft Kings' relationship with the NFL if Kraft succeeded in making him out to be the incompetent moron he is by appealing the punishment properly.

Those hugs all come with a multi-billion dollar Draft Kings twinkle in Kraft's eye. What an honorable, upstanding business you've involved yourself with Mr. Kraft - gambling.

That is correct. He's making a lot of money period. I don't agree with what he did either. As a matter of fact, you'll probably find many posts where I show my anger from it. I'm just saying he is not going against his golden goose. I really hope I'm wrong. There is nothing I would like more than for him to go against the other owners. Goodell works for the owners. The owners run the NFL. Kraft may be legally bound to not contest it. Maybe there's a loop hole. I would also like to see TB sue the crap out of them too.

He had many options the first of which was to appeal the penalty.

File an appeal to be heard by Roger and his Jet flunkies at 345 Park Ave. without a union backing him? Yeah, OK. He was so reasonable with Tom, right? And what are these "many" options you speak of?

Yup. Been a Pats fan since 1976. I miss those Pre-Kraft Pats:)
