Talib admits that he tried to wreck Corey Brown on purpose

Yep lets get that one sure loss out of the way better early than later.

Oh no they won't. They will find a way to FINALLY beat a legitimate road team in Denver.

I was angry when Wes Welker cross-checked him in the 2013 AFCC. Now I don't feel so bad.
The commonality being they were both playing for Denver at the time of their indiscretions.

Does this guy ever get out of his own way?

A great example of how a dirty player plays smart, situational football. Try to end a guy's career (and wellbeing) for a one yard penalty.... pretty good deal for a psychopath.

He and TJ Ward should go **** each other, so they can give birth to the next Broncos antichrist QB.

Understand the frustration but the NFL has to change the rule and then enforce it through the refs who miss 25% of most calls or get them wrong. Simple when the Pats play against Talib have someone assigned to take him out for the remainder of the season. Doesn't matter what the other fans think they hate the Pats anyway won't change

Talib is flat out Scum.

It was crystal clear at the moment that it happened that he was exerting maximum Effort to cause permanent and possibly crippling or paralyzing Injury to the guy.

The way he yanked the Mask and twisted and torqued the guy's neck was horrific.

There is absolutely nothing that could ever befall Aqib Talib that would be too horrible to prevent me from celebrating, cackling with Glee. I wish him every possible Evil.

Fortunately, Talib's History has given every indication that he will self destruct within a few Years of his loathsome Career ending. There is indeed a very high Chance, it seems to me, that he will be quicker than most to blow through all his Money, fail to adjust to Life out'f the LimeLight, scare any decent Women out'f'is Life, and end up homeless, destitute, and dependent on Drugs as he descends into Crime and an early, miserable, lonely, painful, diseased and bitter Death. Ahhhhh...I feel better already. :D

The other solution in the comments which is even better is to let teams "bank" penalty yardage and then use it whenever they want to. I love this idea, in part because the gap between our coach and almost everyone's else's would become even more evident.

Interesting idea. It's not like it would happen THAT often anyway, so it's not a drastic change, just subtle.

It would remove the "no risk" incentive for players wanting to commit dirty fouls like that facemasks or roughing the passer without screwing the team over since all it does is move the ball half the distance, or 15 yards on the kickoff.

Week 1 - Thursday night should be Patriots AT Denver.

Maybe. The ongoing court saga/appeal with Tom Brady may make the league leery about scheduling that for their showcase opening game, as he may still miss the first 4 weeks of the year. They may also think twice about having N.England in the season opener 2 years in a row.

I'm going to go with the SB rematch, instead. I don't see how they can go wrong with that choice.

Fox will certainly argue that they really have only 2 chances to broadcast the defending champs and won't want to lose one.

(Yes I know that the NFL doesn't strictly follow the AFC-NFC network breakdown like they used to, but Car-Den is really Fox's only chance for a good Denver game. They won't want to give it up so easily.)

Furthermore, while Car-Den is the Super Bowl rematch, I'd say NE-Den is actually the bigger draw.

Hopefully he gets suspended first week of the season and the Pats open up in Denver, dumb jerk-off.

I like Talib ... edge is important. Rodney wasn't much different...just smarter about it.

Yeah, a guy can't make it in the NFL without gouging eyes and trying to break a guy's neck.

Maybe he'll suffer Jack Tatum's fate.

Talib deservedly should be suspended at least as many games as Burfict is seemingly getting suspended for.

That play in SB50 was disgusting, and everyone who watched it with me felt likewise.

Furthermore, there were a few other plays where some of the Broncos defensive backs were leading with their helmets. Not that this is anything but what we all have seen from this defense over the course of the 2015 season...

I understand why the union defends players who get in trouble off the field. It may suck, but even men who beat women deserve legal representation in court and with their employers.

However, I just do not for the life of me understand why the union will defend a player who risks the health, safety and well being of a fellow union member.

The two personal foul=ejection is the scariest idea the comishczar has come up with yet. A ticky tack roughing the passer and an incidental facemask...Blakeman and Hochuli are licking their lips...

The media is piling on Cam for being a poor loser but I don't have a problem with his reaction, I'm happy to see a player who actually gives a crap and isn't smiling after a loss.

I do have a problem with the Broncos however. They are poor winners and in my opinion that is far uglier than being a poor loser. They keep flapping their gums, talking crap. They should just STFU, enjoy their victory and act like they've been there before. Oh wait, they haven't except for two years ago when the Seahawks handed them their asses.

Instead we get this petty BS. This pisses me off and is completely classless. But what should we expect from a bunch of cheap shot artists? I hate the effin Broncos.

Broncos linebacker Danny Trevathan basically called Newton selfish. "That's the way he is. Playing for himself," Trevathan told MMQB.com.

Broncos defensive back Aqib Talib agreed, saying, "He didn't want it."

No one was celebrating Newton's downfall more than Talib after the game.

"There ain't no Easter Bunny, there ain't no Santa Claus, there ain't no Superman," Talib told the Broncos' official website.

In a separate interview with a Canadian television station, Talib said Newton was probably tearing up in his press conference.

"Cam's probably crying right now," Talib said, via TSN.com.

And don't forget Chris Harris causing Newton's walkout of the press conference by mocking him in public ("Can you throw the ball?") and even Wade Phillips went on twitter to make fun of him.

I do think that Newton's inconsistence in his reactions following wins and losses is a bit problematic as is his body language during the game and his explanation of not diving for the fumble. But the Broncos once again show that they have no class. They are a bunch of headhunting thugs but obviously nobody in the national media will call them out for what they are because of the presence of their QB.
