Although playing with a qb like Brady might help HIS cause ...he does very little for OUR cause. He's Brandon Lafell with some added contreversey (and nice hair). Unless we are talking getting a perimeter WR that is significantly better than Lafell/Martin I don't see us spending the resources on him.

I do see why he'd raise a few eyebrows here tho: Urban Meyer product, Chip Kelly Coached and he's white.

There's a whole lot of benefit of the doubt going around (not necessarily just here) considering that we're talking about a guy who has been worse than LaFell each of the past two years.

IF anybody here after what they saw this year want to go forward with LaFell...I will say this you have set the bar pretty low for the N.E. at WR in 2016. Beter than LaFell will be available in FA 2016 and Brady deserves one.

What is it with patriots fans obsessions over white wrs??

You know tall fast black wrs can catch footballs and produce with tom Brady too

In agreement, in turn, that is why I want no part of Cooper...essentially (based on his skillset ) he is a poormans Lafell. Would rather go after Travis Benjamin or Marvin Jones myself.

I don't think the fans actually care .. It's more of a 'patriots fans' inside joke that if an offensive skill player is white he's destined to be on the patriots since we have so many of em.

Razor: I have stopped dreaming about Travis Benjamin and Marvin Jones I think both the Browns and Bengals can easily retain them. I also I don't expect both to be in the Patriots price point. I love Jermaine Kearse and M. Sanu I think the Patriots could have both the latter easily.

Last thing we need is that racist wr on a team that already has the market cornered on white wide receivers. We already catch enough **** as it is. The last thing we need is the ******** I heard as a kid about the 80's Celtics. If you grew up in the 80's you know exactly what i'm talking about.
I know where your coming from man. And yes NE is heavy on white receivers lol.

Just to play devil's advocate, he's had crap at QB throwing to him, how would he perform with TFB?

For all the guys giving him a pass I call BS. He's a racist point blank period and he is not the type of receiver we need.

I am a big Kearse fan and think he would be a good fit here. Not sure on his contract implications though. Sanu seems realistic as well and would be much cheaper than Marvin Jones anyways.

Marvin Jones seems like the type of player that is ready to blow up though. Just like Sanders was before going to Denver.

One time unfortunate drunken comment....Well OK and you are entitled to your opinion.

But this Racist, Gay, war against women P.C. crap has got to stop. Anyway this is a football forum for fun, not a referendum on Liberal versus Conservative viewpoints.

If the guy is worthy enough for BB to look ar him, so be it.

I love how in this case, "liberal vs conservative" as you've framed it is anti-racist dude vs pro-racist dude. There's a wrong side of this one, it's not an issue you can mull over and take one side or the other on. He said he would "kill every n***** here". What if someone like Cam Newton or Richard Sherman or Marshawn Lynch said "I'll kill every cracker here"? People would be up in arms, which wouldn't be all that unreasonable.

Yes, that side is the one populated by fools who won't have a player who used language they didn't like. That's about as stupid as it gets.

There are legitimate reasons to want, or not want, the guy. A drunken word choice years ago is not one of them.

Welcome to the Goodelliverse...pretty soon players are going to have to pass a complete pyschological, criminal, sociological and ethical background check and then sign a strict P.C. Adherence clause in their contracts before they are allowed to play FOOTBALL...a ****in' sport.

And, because people no longer bother actually thinking about things that matter, there will probably be minimal, if any, outcry from the fans about the absurd privacy intrusions.

He is not worth a look. He is not a big physical receiver who can get deep and beat coverage consistently. But if BB wants to look who am I to say anything. But rest assured I will not be rooting for him. Would be a terrible look if NE signed him

We have six different threads talking about the plight of the white man in the face of cam Newton. Why do you think?
