Given Manning's bad performances in the three playoff games, how does it feel to be Brock Osweiler right now knowing you could be the celebrating Super Bowl champion QB rather than after thought? That must really, really suck.

"Thanks for taking the team to the number one seed Brock despite me trying my best to nosedive the season but I'll take all the glory and credit from here in the playoffs thanks!".

I wonder if Peyton waived Brock off the field when he tried to celebrate with the rest of the team.

Well, he's a free agent, Manning is retiring, and Denver knows that he's better than Manning right now, so I think he's about to win the contract lottery.

Not as much $$$ as if he hadn't lost the job to Peyton, but still, the man will get paid.

Probably 34-10 if Osweiler played.

He was a major contributor to a SB championship at the age of 25 and will likely be signing a contract in excess of $20 million before he turns 26. He probably feels OK.

He wasn't great, but neither was Manning, and if he'd been bad and they'd dropped an extra game or two they could have easily been one and done playing on WC weekend somewhere. He deserves some props for helping keep them on a winning track big picture wise. That would have been a tough beat trying to play 3 playoff games mistake free with Manning over his shoulder and all the pressure in the world on Kubiak to yank Osweiler if anything started to go wrong.

But he's about to get paid and he'll be starting somewhere, I'd assume in Denver unless he's really pissed and wants to leave then twisting in the wind. Which would be funny, but not his best move.

I don't even think Brock has proven anything at this point. When teams get a book on him he's in for a rude awakening. He also seems brittle. I don't know, I just see a guy looking for that big contract and getting the guaranteed money knowing they will not be living up to the rest of it. (Think Colin Kaepernick or Matt Cassel)

Oh but Manning is the GoAT at pre-snap in NFL History. No way Ossie could have done better

Brock probably feels a lot like Brian Griese at this point.

What has to alleviate a lot of stress on Brock's shoulders is the fact that Manning was downright trash this year.

I want to see what happens next year. With Denver having Von Miller as priority number one, wouldn't it be sweet if Brock decides to tell Denver FU, which then pretty much would leave Denver without a QB next year.

I'll bet he feels pretty good knowing that everyone is talking about how he would've done a better job in the Super Bowl than Manning.

It's hard to imagine a better spot for him than staying put, if he believes he can play then a decent guarantee with incentives/escalators and opt-outs for both sides is prob ok but if he thought they lowballed him I could see someone desperate like the Jets or Philly throwing a monster contract at him.

Perfect scenario:

1. Manning retires
2. Elway franchise tags Von Miller
3. Osweiler tells Elway "up yours" and signs mega-deal with CLE, PHI, etc
4. Elway panics, resigns Tim Tebow

Perfect scenario:

4. Elway panics, resigns Tebow

Edit change:

4. Elway panics, overpays Fitzpatrick
5. Jets sign Tebow

Lmao. Yeah, this probably would be better. Or an even BETTER, more likely number 5 - Jets just keep Geno Smith

OH SNAP!

Did anyone else read this as bring in Brock Osweiler? Was about to say...
