My mistake....only in Boston do the local papers try to destroy the hometown team on championship Sunday.

The Globes' Trollin Volin and the snakes at the Boston Herald must be pissed that they can't take swings at the Patriots today...a Boston Super Bowl tradition.

Go Panthers.......Fracture the Forehead!

PS....in other news, Liverpool fans walked out on John Henry's team yesterday protesting a massive price increase of tickets next year. Gouging on two continents......priceless

If ya don't want to pay, ya don't have to go to the games. It's capitalism - charge whatever the market will bear. No one's forcing anyone to pay anything. With $50 parking and ****ty seats at hundreds per game and $10 beers, the Patriots aren't taking a back seat to anyone when it comes to prices. It's only gouging when it's gasoline, food or some other necessity in my opinion. Game tickets aren't a necessity...

In socialist leaning England, the mindset is much different and most lifetime patrons would definitely call it gouging. Tell you what...go stand on the bar in a Liverpool pub and tell the locals John Henry isn't gouging them....and please video tape their responses :)

Doesn't matter. They can't get as drunkenly nasty as they want, and threaten people and beat them up. It doesn't matter. If John Henry can't find others to buy the tickets given up by the disenfranchised, then he's deservedly screwed. But if he can, none of the outrage matters one iota.

You're exaggerating, either out of belligerence or ignorance. I've never seen $50 parking at or around Gillette and the seats aren't "hundreds per game" unless you're paying secondary market prices for the playoffs. Beer isn't a necessity unless your an alcoholic, so anyone paying $10 either is one or an idiot. Yes, the Patriots are in the upper price range for the NFL but they also don't require PSLs.

FYI, the average regular-season price for a Patriots ticket is $122, second to the Giants (where season ticket holders also pay PSL fees).

Are you Martin Shkreli, drug CEO who raised the price of his lifesaving pill 10,000%?
Get what you can when you can :)
Regarding the Liverpool situation....what's really going on is very similar to when seats were redistributed when New Gillette was opened. Liverpool has added an upper deck for next year and priced these much less desirable seats at this year's lower seats prices. Pay 30% more next year or get sent to the rafters. Though I doubt Liverpool fans would ever abandon their life-long team, they do have another Premiere League option situated ONE MILE from their stadium....Everton..............Imagine the Jets 10 blocks down the road.

Shove the passionate vocal fans to the noise bleeds and let the fat cat chardonnay sippers sit on their hands up front....Gillette Red Seat style. Guess Henry wants the quietest stadium in the BPL......similar to the Pats

Can't beat the home theater experience. Raise prices, that'll get fans back in house. :)

That reminds me, wasn't ESPN supposed to do a follow-up to their Sept. article on how mean the Patriots are? What happened to that? The Jest Ombudsman was also "working" on a Patriots hit piece but I haven't seen it? Are they waiting til next season?

It was only going to be released before the SB if NE was in it. Labor Day sounds about right.
