I'm infuriated with the Patriots

This isn't like the 2010 team, that choked away a potential SB.

Here's what "falling apart" was this year:
Plus injuries to Edelman, Amendola, LaFell, Stork, Vollmer, Collins, Hightower, and Jones.

To his credit BB fired his strength coach, who I don't think is unrelated to the tremendous amount of injuries on the team, I hope he hires TFBs guy.

I wonder if Miller holds out if Dever tag him. He'll never be worth what he is right now after his last two games.

It's pretty much the Joe Flacco scenario all over again. Miller is similarly inconsistent between being at times a mediocre player and at other times the most dominant edge rusher of the league. Everything considered it was a pretty expensive postseason run for Denver but a ring makes it all worth it I guess.

The more I watched of that Super Bowl, the more the pats should be embarrassed for giving up two TD passed to Manning.

He was done all season and his second best game against the Pats.

The Broncos defense is great, but how Daniels burned Collins twice will always be stupefying to me.
i think he was hurt. remember he couldnt catch peyton scrambling on his 10+ yd run

Steelers fans should be even more pissed off. They had Denver dead to rights in Denver and a fumble broke the game for them. HFA wouldn't have mattered if the coaching showed up in the AFCCG. Some uncharacteristically terrible calls in that game. That and the idiot OL coach not noticing Denver keying on Stork and making the appropriate adjustments.

The ***** about it is this:

If the Steelers don't fumble, the Patriots are probably SB champions today.

Denver also had plenty of injuries over the year, the difference is that Elway isn't shy about going after and paying for top talent. He'll grab Evan Mathis, DeMarcus Ware, Emmanuel Sanders, etc, if it'll make the team better.

Umm . . . no.

I DON'T CARE! I CAN'T STAND IT!

At the very least Peyton goes one and done for the 10th time and has a playoff record of 11-14 and a SB record of 1-2. That would be enough even without us winning the SB.

The Broncos defense was one of the best of all time and they flipped a switch this off-season.

Or could it be that the ref call less penalties in the post-season skewing the game in the D's favor rather than the O's favor in the regular season?

This should've been our Super Bowl. And now the Broncos are about to be Champions. ARGGGHH!!!:mad:

We really f'ed ourselves by not going for HFA or those FGs
Relax. Everyone makes a mistake. Even pats did in winning yrs. Thats what makes this game. Feel blessed we have something to look forward to every yr instead of being angry at them. There is no gurantee of anything. they couldve gotten home field and lost to someone else e.g ravens/jets. The if then else game is fun but always doesnt work that way. Maybe the jets wouldve made it to the playoffs. Maybe If they took the FG , brady wouldnt have thrown the last second TD. And there is no gurantee carolina wouldnt have run all over us yesterday.

I said the same in the sb thread huge missed opportunity this year.

They get a pass from me ibviously but watching that trainwreck last night was infuriating and i feel this loss was alot more on the coaches than in past nontitle years.

I'd still put it on the backs of the offensive line. Sure the coaching of that unit could have been better, but those guys played like bums while the rest of the team played like champions.

It's very easy to look at any number of variables and state that we may have won it all, but I think we could do that in any year that doesn't end up with a SB victory.

Did a lesser team win it all yesterday? Arguably, but they did beat us twice, and their defense did step up to make the plays when it needed to. Seeing a rival win it all sucks, but it is what it is.

Denver is a deserving Champion. They beat us twice this year. Very hard to defend that without looking like a complete boob.

Their defense got hot down the stretch when they needed it the most. Historically one of the best defensive playoff performances, at least of recent times.

With that said, and I honestly feel this way, looking back at the NFL season, it was a mediocre year, with a mediocre Super Bowl, that culminated with an historically mediocre SB champion. Argue that all you want, but I believe that. Not just because Denver won, I would have felt like that, maybe more if Carolina won.

It was a down season, with down football.

I really though id be satisfied with 4, but man the hunger never stops. Infuriating.

The hunger doesn't stop. Losing hurts, but I keep telling myself that we'll look like the most spoiled jerks if we cry over not winning TWO straight Super Bowls.

I'd say the Seahawks fans had more to cry about than us.

no....really....the way I see it, The Pats should have been SB champs in 1996 (Parcells made sure we wouldn't win that one, but the Pats should have beaten the Packers), 2006, 2007, 2011, and 2015

I prefer being thankful for all those years of being able to watch my team for an extra month.....beats being mathematically eliminated by thanksgiving

I love how people watch Carolina get annihilated by Denver's defense and then conclude that we would have done the same thing to them. I think we would have moved the ball at times given their weakness at cornerback, but no one knows how our defense would have fared. Without Easley, there is no one that can consistently dominate 1-1 matchups like Miller, Ware, Jackson and Wolfe did. One second extra most likely would have made all the difference for Newton. I still think we would have won though.
