Really getting tired of this black and white ********.
Yeah seems like you can't criticise a black person for anything. Sure, there are definitely racists that are out there but, there are perfectly reasonable reasons not to like Cam.

I'm half way through it and it sounds like a BB press conference to me.

Late to the party so sorry if someone said it already.

But the main difference is that BB does his thing no matter if we win or lose. Now just imagine the same Newton postgame conference if they had won the SB. The difference would have been indescribable.

I respect what Newton brings to the game as a player but his personality just irks me.

Cam is an immature d bag. This is the same dude who stole a laptop & threw it out of a window and rips down banners. Not surprised he can't handle a loss that's in part due to his ****ty qb play. Guess there wasn't any dabbing or sideline selfies last night :(. He's a good qb but needs to grow up.

The kid had just lost the biggest game of his life on the biggest stage imaginable. I'm sure he was also disappointed in his own performance at certain moments, although he played okay.

I'd cut him some slack for now.

I've seen Brady put in pressers like that, and we worship him for his hatred of not winning it all every year which builds his desire to succeed and compete.

Non-story for me.

The presser was just the cherry on top. He was sulking during the game.

I worry about what my players do ON that field. Off of it doesn't concern me. Press conferences, media interviews I couldn't give less of a **** about. He didn't play well and they lost, If I'm a panther fan that's the only thing I care about. Screw a press conference. I want him thinking about how he can become better after this loss and turn it into future Ws. Let the losers worry about the "correct" way to lose.

More of Cam Newton acting like a spoiled entitled brat, as he always does:

I know people can make excuses, but this is who he is. It isn't because he's black, it's because he's a d-bag. Compare it to Kuechly's post-game presser, he was as he always is as well: classy and respectful. As was everyone else on the team, even though they were all obviously heartbroken. One handled it like a sore loser spoiled brat, everyone else with some class.

Just saying, ever since I saw him in person I've realized what a dbag he is. Just a "me" guy, it is so obvious, and this is another instance of it.

I think I would have expected more from an MVP-winning franchise QB.

For the record I have an issue w BBs demenor sometimes after losses as well.

Good news for Cam!!! He's been cast in the next Star Wars Trilogy in the role of Darth Newton..

and most here wanted this baby to win..so glad car lost

Maybe that's why he gets to much criticism, nothing to do with race it's because you can't be the major celebration dance and jump around guy when you win and then walk out on press conferences when you lose, punk move.

Its part of the deal and you can deal with it like a man.

Whatever that means.

A "man" has a full range of emotions and is the product of his circumstances and genetics. There's no prototype for this, other than perhaps a fantasy of the entertainment industry.

Who cares? I love seeing real emotion. I'd be upset to if I just lost a championship game. I know taking to reporters is part of the job but who can blame him for not wanting to answer questions.

Cam looked to be hyper-ventilating at the end of the second quarter, gave up in the third, and ran away from the ball like it was a grenade in the fourth....this seriously taints him for me!

A real flat track bully (as we say in England) He didn't like it up him on the big stage.

Then again, the hate may be because he is black, as I'm sure we are all racists on here ;)

Edit...the line above was sarcasm!

also because he's a douche

too bad broncos d isn't afraid of a black qb

Yeah we get it buddy. You think hes a douche. And you delight in his misfortune. And of course race has nothing at all to do with it. And hey Maybe youre right. I have no idea what race you are, but im pretty sure that you are a douche as well.

How many of us on the Board have accomplished anywhere near what he has in our professions/vocations? How many of us would handle all the attention, adoration, and money and still maintain the high standards of behavior that he is being held to? Not me, not at his age, I promise.

I recall myself at his age. If I was given all that privilege simply as a result of an accident of birth (i.e. athletic talent) and made a multi millionaire before I hit 22 years of age, I'd probably have been "a douche" and all the other things you guys are calling him, only worse.

He's got a lot to learn about leadership, and grumpy old white guys like me see his behavior before the SB as a distraction that he shouldn't have created. Maybe he'll learn from that, maybe he won't. I wonder who his teachers are. I wonder who the wise old men are in his life that have stepped in and given him firm guidance.

As someone who would never root for the Denver Broncos, I still found it tremendously enjoyable watching Cam Newton crap the bed in front of hundreds of millions of people last night

********. PC nonsense. He pouts when he loses, shows up his opponent's when he wins and is always preening for the camera. He's very immature, grown men tend not to act the way he does, children do, and spoiled, bratty children at that.

The last part of your paragraph is useful, in that you define the behavior you are judging and therefore can be held accountable for your opinion. Touche.

The first part is just more cowardly labeling.

I've no problem with him being upset he lost. My problem is with him sulking during the game. Standing on the sidelines by himself with a lost look on his face, not talking to anyone. The guy is simply not a leader. Not like Brady, at least. If you're going to make a spectacle of yourself when you're winning, you should at least show some fire when you're losing. If you don't do that, then at least take it like a man postgame. Newton is a baby. He always has been. When he's on top, he's also on top of the world. And he'll let you know about it too. When he's losing, he sulks and as a leader, you cannot do that. But this has been the case with Newton ever since he was in college. That's the way he is. Teams know this too. Knock him around a bit, take away his running lanes and his passing options, and he'll eventually mail it in.
