What tackle has handled Von Miller?

The Patriots have handled him other than their last encounter, he really hasnt done much against us. He had a beastly postseason run, but I'd take Mack from the Raiders over him honestly.

Von Miller has benefited tremendously with a healthy Ware opposite him. Thats been a MASSIVE difference. Maybe Ware starts to slow down next year? God I hope so.
Ware isn't even guaranteed to be on the roster next year. Outside of Manning, no Broncos player creates more cap room by being cut than Ware's $10 million. They spent a first round pick on Shane Ray last year and also really like Shaq Barrett, so they may let Ware go in order to keep more of their younger core together. Ware and Miller combined for about $18.5 million in cap hits in 2015, and now Miller is going to cost that much himself once he gets that long term deal. They have to pay for that somehow.

Whatever happens with Ware, we'll know pretty quickly since he has a bonus due on the fifth day of the new league year.

Elway went "all-in" to create this defense. This was the year he had to win. It paid off for him. But yeah, he can't possibly keep them together. I remember the Broncos D not being very impressive during the games Ware missed in the regular season.

They'll still be very good next year, likely top 5, but it's hard to see them being #1 again.

Ironically, Ware got lucky that he injured his shoulder in the middle of the season which made him sit a lot of games until the end. I think he would have faded as usual around Thanksgiving/December if he had to play straight through the season. In the postseason he had just a single game with only a week's rest.

Don't forget that they will most probably have Manning off the books. Even if he will cost them an additional 4 millions of cap space with that offseason run, this is still a lot of money suddenly available. I am very curious what kind of contract Osweiler will get.

Is there a tackle out there that has handled Von Miller. Are there any shorter right tackles out there with great lateral quickness?

Jodee

Who else? Joe Thomas.

If they're timing the snap count, make them go offsides often.

Run the ball at and over Miller.

Teams, especially us, have gone pass happy and forgotten the run. Defenses, especially with undersized DEs, have taken advantage of OTs.

No tackle is going to handle little fast guys like him if the team lets them tee off every down. Exploit the weakness of having a 240ish pound DE.

Get better OLinemen [shaq is a good start] against the run and soften defenses up. If offenses are only scoring 15-25 points, you can neutralize small pass rushers and prevent defensive scores from harassed QBs. After a while, headline will be "undersized DEs, thing of the past?"

What goes around, comes around. Patience, body punching.

Offensive line play is at all time lows. You simply can't block these guys. The only one worth a damn is Dallas and they have like 5 first round picks

I think Von Millers success has lot to do with having Ware on the other side. Teams were handling Miller fairly well when Ware was injured. Lot of teams have one great pass rusher but it takes two or more to have that kind of success.

Not true.. Von Miller was handled a lot this year. He was practically invisible for most of the game week 12 vs the Pats.
Snow had a lot to do with that. Offenses always have the advantage in snow games.

I don't don't know but man I dream of having a pass rusher like that for the patriots I see Bill get it down with hard working guys that a good tough players but a freak of nature like miller My goodness

He gets off the line so fast it's like he is starting in the backfield

Maybe, maybe Jamie Collins?

For all you guys hating on Von Miller, I mean the guy just stepped up BIG time in the 2 biggest games of the year vs arguably 2 out of the 3 best QBs..

Give me players like that every time. Opposite of Chandler Jones...

It's amazes me how people focus so much on what they most recently saw and forget everything else before that. For example two weeks ago the Panthers dismantled the Cards and everyone considered them the 2nd coming of the 85 Bears.

Von Miller has two great games and all of a sudden he's a first ballot HOFer.

People need some perspective. Carolina wasn't as good as they were against the Cards and Von Miller had the two best games of his career.

The Super Bowl history is littered with one hit wonders. Von Miller is good and he had a great game but let's not start chiseling his bust just yet.
2 great games? Did just start watching football?

Let's face it, Newton was simply outmatched.

He freaked himself out before the game.

As for Von Miller, it's very tough to control him in a very loud Denver stadium, but a QB who knows what he's doing out there could easily have his way with him.

All credit should go to Miller for this playoff run. He was unblockable, and definitely deserved the MVP.

But what's being completely underrated is the spectacular play of Malik Jackson, Derek Wolfe, and the rest of the DTs. How many times have we seen great quarterbacks (most notably Brady), neutralize great edge rushers by taking a few steps up in the pocket. It makes the tackles job so much easier because they can basically concede the wide rush. But QB's couldn't do that against this Denver front, because those DTs almost ALWAYS had push up the middle. Not always enough to get to the QB themselves, but there was no room for Brady or Newton to step up, which gave Miller and Ware a straight shot.

As always, the edge rushers make the flashy plays and get all the credit, while the big uglies in the middle set the table for them.

That wasnt a Denver stadium last night though. It was a neutral site, and he was dominate!

That's why I wrote, "A QB who knows what he's doing."

50 yard patterns down the field are not going to work. And when your WR is wide open 15 yards downfield, don't overthrow him.

If that guy isn't on PEDs, I would be amazed. Lance Armstrong II. If it's too good to be true, is usually...
