Can't believe he backed off from trying to retrieve his fumble. Like WOW, talk about not caring if you win the biggest game of your life. Course he's young and he probably figures he'll be in the SB many more times with more chances to win, not realizing that just getting to the playoffs is difficult let alone the SB.

Check out Bill Romanowski's final word in his tweet. Not good.

looool and here comes the defense of 1 douche by distracting w/another douche

I just wonder what this will do to the Panther TEAM chemistry they rode all season. This is a pretty lousy look for a guy who's been throwing around racist accusations all season.

Judging by Bill Romanowksi, there's some justification.

On your first point, he makes that team tick but he didn't play with any of that attitude today. Team must have felt that.

Not defending Cam's actions, but imagine how lousy it must feel to have almost singlehandidly cost your team the super bowl after winning the MVP and being talked up all season (I know, Denver's defense also played a large role in the win). It must be hard to face reporters immediately after this type of loss. That's why I don't judge any of the players (or coaches), they all react differently. Hopefully Cam learns from this.

Yeah the faux-outrage about this is a bit much.

The guy got abused for 60 minutes, lost a Super Bowl and was literally ask the same question about "how he felt" about twelve times in that video. How the hell do you think he feels?

Sports "journalists" are the dumbest people alive.

Bill is one of the stupidest people ever. Then add lots of brain damage and roids

Romanowski will be fired by the end of the week. hes already tweeting apologies.

I want to know why he didn't go for the fumbled ball with the game on the line. Never seen that before.

Cam is going to get killed for not going after that fumble. This interview is the least of his worries.

More of Cam Newton acting like a spoiled entitled brat, as he always does:

I know people can make excuses, but this is who he is. It isn't because he's black, it's because he's a d-bag. Compare it to Kuechly's post-game presser, he was as he always is as well: classy and respectful. As was everyone else on the team, even though they were all obviously heartbroken. One handled it like a sore loser spoiled brat, everyone else with some class.

Just saying, ever since I saw him in person I've realized what a dbag he is. Just a "me" guy, it is so obvious, and this is another instance of it.

This was tough but as a black guy myself a lot of hate for cam newton is because he is black.

He just lost the biggest game of his life he should not have walked out but I understand this

I think you are right...if it were not Cam I wouldn't have blinked. But since we already know he's a brat, this just is part of that physiognomy. But you are right we can cut him some slack, if it weren't for the schadenfreude. :)
