C'mon Peyton isn't walking away. He's going to try and secure his TD record.

To me, the most frustrating thing is all the talk that the AFC Championship Game was only to decide who gets crushed by the Mighty, Mighty Panthers.

The Broncos' D is awesome, but the Pats at least were competitive. Watching this game sucked on every level imaginable.
I think Seattle would have advanced back to the Super Bowl -- and probably won -- if it weren't for that disastrous first half against the Panthers. They were the only battle tested NFC team and didn't look like themselves against Minnesota and Carolina compared to the weeks leading up to the playoffs (including their demolition of Arizona).

I only point this out because it goes to show how the AFC had far more depth this season of viable contenders: Denver, New England, and Pittsburgh. Kansas City and Cincinnati were supposedly contenders, but we all knew they wouldn't work out.

Carolina went 15-1 versus a weak schedule and played great at home against flustered Seahawks and Cardinals teams. I am surprised their occasional iffy road play didn't factor into the oddmakers giving the Panthers a larger spread than they deserved. Especially after the Broncos dethroned a very hungry Pats team.

Denvers D put on a clinic, kudos to them.

Panthers o-coordinator is a bum, glad he's a shula and got exposed. They played weak teams all year.

He called a run player on literally every first down that got STUFFED. 0 adjustments, not even play action or reverses.

Just a weird family thing. Obviously I'm a Pats fan, my brother is a Seahawks fan and my Dad is a Broncos fan* It's been a good three years for the family.

To be fair, whilst my brother and I have supported our teams since the mid 80's, my Dad is only a Broncos fan because John Denver is his favourite artist.

tons of shotgun draws to the backs..

never worked and they kept calling it.

I respectfully disagree that this does nothing for his legacy.

I know some might think this is blasphemous to say, but the Tom Brady that won Super Bowl 36 is not the Hall of Fame Tom Brady that we all know and love. He was an inexperience game manager at the time. When history looks back however they just look at him as a four time Super Bowl winner.

Just like Peyton will be looked at as a two time champ. There will be no 'ya but'.

Yeah but, Manning won his first after crowd noise and "face guarding," which was not even a rule. Rex Grossman?

HGH might have been ingested.

Gets beat down by a seattle team that lost to Browner and Butler.

Tolbert fumbles twice.

Blandino said incomplete.

Uncalled offsides on missed fg.

Miller MVP.

PEDton send off.

Ray lewis send off.

Bettis send off.

My point is one of that matters.......whether you beat Rex Grossman or Kurt Warner when you win the Super Bowl you are a Super Bowl champion and THAT is what gets remembered.

I mean, the Raiders were up in arms over the 'tuck rule'.

The Colts were up in arms of the PSI of footballs, and the Ravens were up in arms over us resorting to 'illegal' formations.

The point is that does not matter. Sure, that might make some in their fan bases 'feel better' about it, but in the end that doesn't matter. The scoreboard is what matters.

I never dreamed a team could go through the playoffs and win a Super Bowl with their QB playing like Ryan Mallett all the way through. That was awful.

The broncos d is amazing but, it really irritates me that we came out with that soft zone bs in the afcc, or perhaps our d would have outdueled them.

Bb/patricia please take note on this as well as how rattled cam was last night. We have the talent, its time to get aggressive.

Yeah, that and Brady's interception in the own redzone were the killer that game. On that first drive the soft coverage allowed to Broncos to pick up 83 of their 244 yards (34%).

But oh well, that's in the past now, I'm looking forward to next season, hoping that the karma will allow the 2016 team to stay relatively healthy. Can't wait to see how the defense will perform next year. If they can upgrade at LB3 and CB behind Butler (or CB3 if Ryan could play at his upper limit more consistently) this defense will be at least top-5 next year.
