Elway is one of the best GMs in the league. As great of a head as Belichick is, as a GM he's just a good one.

Last I checked the Patriots have fielded one of the most talented teams consistently for the past 15 years. Cmon son.Elway is one of the best GMs in the league. As great of a head as Belichick is, as a GM he's just a good one.
I've no problem with the result. Denver's D was outstanding.
The only thing I'm truly mad about is Bill not picking up on the Stork snap giveaway and fixing it, especially at half time. Mistakes like that on a Belichick coached team are mind blowing. The Oline coach was fired so obviously Belichick was p*ssed.
With our offensive line woes and a defense a few steps beneath Broncos caliber, I suspect the Panthers would have had a 50/50 shot to win against us playing our best. The Broncos defense was one of the best of all time and they flipped a switch this off-season. I'm actually happy the Broncos won because after this game, it shows the real Super Bowl was won in the AFC in a game that came down to the wire. Many of us have moved on ...
It could have been us ... and it hurts.
But Denver deserves the win ... #1 seed in the AFC wins ... that's a great season.
IMO makes us look like sore losers to not give them some credit.
Going to be a huge battle next year between Broncos - Patriots - Chiefs - Steelers . Going to be hard for other AFC teams to get into that top 4 mix. The target to get the bye could well be 14-2 next year.
I see a great season ahead for the AFC ....... whomever makes it the the Super Bowl will be battle tested. Let's hope we have a healthier season ... we have the talent and leadership.
For sure better to lose to the eventual champs ... makes the hunger that much stronger IMO.With our offensive line woes and a defense a few steps beneath Broncos caliber, I suspect the Panthers would have had a 50/50 shot to win against us playing our best. Average+ may be good enough for him ... he has decent talent so we'll see - not elite but good potential.I'm not overly worried about an Osweiler led Broncos over the course of a season. But with that defense, who knows.

That's assuming they actually keep Osweiler. He is a FA this offseason, too.
It will never happen, but it'd be hilarious if Denver ends up trading away all of their talent for future draft picks. That would be crazy, as they could star Butt Fumble back there and win. But maybe they start selling off parts by the next trade deadline to build for the future.I've wondered that myself, but if not Osweiler, who? Have to think Manning retires now. Connor Cook might be a possibility. Nothing exciting but might be good enough to be a game manager. Can't think of many available vet QBs you'd want to lead the SB champs.
It's funny... two posters actually DISAGREED with this post. How could they disagree? Absolutely this was the Pats Super Bowl, a repeat no less.. and Belichick skipping the FGs and the dam Miami game are the only reasons. Whoever disagreed with your post are idiots. This should've been our Super Bowl. And now the Broncos are about to be Champions. ARGGGHH!!!
We really f'ed ourselves by not going for HFA or those FGs
Nah, Pats blew it.Von Miller destroyed us and destroyed the Panthers. They deserve it.
