i'm happy for manning regardless of his role. it was a great rivalry. i know many of you hate him, but i enjoyed this historic rivalry. Every great players need a great rivalry. ali vs. fraiser, magic vs. bird, etc. etc.

This era is defined by brady & manning.

brady & manning together = 10SB appearances, 6 SB wins

it was a great era. and manning going out like this will fuel brady's fire.

now onto ring #5.

i was completely neutral. i was rooting for panthers early on, but watching broncos D was inspiring.

i want brady to go out with another SB ring or two.

like brady said, we really blew it. getting that home court is so damn important. i honestly didn't think we had a chance against the panthers, but maybe we could've won the 5th.

but i have no hard feelings against peyton. he completes brady. he completes pats. he was a great nemesis.

oh by the way goodell can go to hell

I can't stand Peyton, but damn do I respect him. Congrats, and here's to Tom hoisting it high this time next year.

I respect Peyton and all but the guy isn't going to walk away. He's got his TD record to protect. Come clean and quit blowing smoke.

It was a perfect game for me. A great QB gets to go out on a win which is a good thing but he can't be considered on a par with Brady after that weak performance. And the arrogant upstart gets humiliated. It couldn't really have been scripted better as a game.

Glad to see some of our fans having class. Happy for him that he won.
Cam just showed off way too much this season. He needs to step back a bit.

brady is the GOAT and nothing will change that. and this game actually showed how great brady really was. after we got abused by this d at their home, we still had a chance to win.

broncos D made cam look like bad RGIII.

Had Manning been MVP, it would've been possible to squeeze him in the goat conversation. However after what i saw today (13 of 23 pass for 141 with a passer rating of 56), this win doesn't elevate him much. A Trent Dilfer like performance. If anything it solidifies Brady and Montana as the better quarterback.

I don't think people here hate Manning. The problem was the Manning fans who constantly try to push Manning into the GOAT conversation. I respect Manning a lot and I'm personally okay with him winning a Super Bowl, but I'm not going to be okay with those who will inevitably say how much better Manning is compared to Brady.

Congrats on changing the league for the worse with the terrible pro passing rules your handlers shoved down our throats. Congrats on those same rules magically going away when your passing ability did. Congrats on cheating to make a return and claim a bunch of records. Congrats on hiring thugs to intimidate someone into recanting their factual statements about you. Congrats on sexually abusing a trainer and continually lying about it. Congrats on always blaming others for your failures. And finally congrats on involving your wife in illegal drug use.

Peyton is more politician than player eff that dude.

this performance doesn't hurt or help manning. we all know manning is no longer manning. he is an old dude who can't play at a high level anymore.

Manning is, or rather was, an outstanding quarterback. No QB is perfect, but he was very, very good.

Manning was a good-enough team leader. He wasn't Brady and he wasn't close to Brady, but his well-known failings in that regard weren't really all that bad.

Manning is a popular celebrity. For it being his second career, he's a talented comedian.

Manning's list of bad acts is pretty short. Considering the air of entitlement his father raised him with, and considering that the one known really bad one was back when he was in college, I find them forgivable.

Congratulations to him on a great career.

I'll congratulate Manning for s good career when he retires (soon). But why congratulate him now? His was a historically bad performance for a QB on a Super Bowl winning team.
