I read on a scroll on the NHLN that Pasternak was sent to Providence with Koko, so maybe that's a good sign that he just needs time there to get in NHL shape. The Bs need him to add scoring depth to the top 3 lines; they've been relying too much on the top 2 lines.
I still feel that, his hat trick in PitsDirt notwithstanding, Vatrano needs more time in Providence to develop NFL-calibre strength. He is extremely easy to rub out along the boards, and isn't explosive enough to compensate for his lack of strength there.
And for the love of Ganja, get Game-Killer Kevin Miller (and/or tRot-man) the feck outta the lineup and replace him with Joe Morrow. Seidenberg is experienced enough to play RD with Morrow at LD.
The B's are currently one of the top scoring teams in the league. Pastrnak should add more of the same. Vatrano is doing what a lot of the other Bruins should be doing- keeping it simple, shooting and going to the net. Methinks this will surely translate into more scoring. Hopefully, it will catch on. And he seems to be doing alright with Spooner. In fact, I noticed Jimmy Hayes was moving his legs more..a good sign.
I loved Miller last year, but notice that he's taking a lot more penalties at the wrong times this year. And I like Morrow. Regardless, Claude must see something that has Miller getting the ice time.
Today, I was reading an article where Ferraro was breaking down the NJD game. Wow! That kid knows exactly what's going on out there and can break it down with the best of them. And that's a huge part of the game...he's a natural at understanding that stuff..obviously from his pedigree (i.e. being Ray's son). He's another young player who is turning the corner at the right time.
I'm curious to see how the lineup pans out when Pastrnak gets back.
