Didn't Aldon Smith used to smash that chick? Kaepernick is just a douche in all aspects of life, dating a teammates ex... Wow I'm sure that was good for the locker room.

Nonsense.

Kaepernick signed a team friendly contract with a low signing bonus. They could cut him now (actually before April 1st) and have only about $7M or so of cap money left on the books.

Kaepernick saying publicly he wants to be a Green Bean proves he's an idiot and should be cut.

They do have the lifeboat option but his yearly numbers are still pretty substantial... so unless they cut him or restructure his deal, they would still be on the hook for that money which gives him a little bit of leverage

Im guessing no team would trade for him without a restructure already agreed to though

SF expects to cut him.

Of course, they COULD allow him to talk to other teams, and then perhaps get a low pick in trade.

Interesting if true. What makes Kaepernick believe the Jets would be switching their offense to read option or pistol? Looks like he believes his usefulness in SF is over. When Roman left for Buffalo and Tyrod Taylor, Kaepernick was done, and that may have been the end of the run for Harbaugh as well. Roman brought the pistol concept into the NFL, found the right QB to run it and Harbaugh took the credit. Kaepernick came from a small-ish college with a truly innovative coach who developed the pistol and Kaepernick rode it to the NFL. He needs to find a pro team that will run pistol or read option, but have the Jets shown any signs of doing that?

If true, the Pats will need to be well prepared, we'll have two divisional teams that run a similar offense. Could change the look of our D.

jets isnt really a team

The rumors out of San Fran before Kelly was hired as the coach were that Kaepernick had worn out his welcome with management. Both in terms of his poor play on the field and poor attitude. That is why he was benched in favor of Gabbert.

BTW, not sure if this was posted, but the Jets were very quick to get this out through CBS..

Either way, I would not want the Jets get Kaep. We have enough trouble stopping mobile QBs already, adding Kaep to a division rival who just finished 10-6 would be terrible for us.

Kaep is awful. In NY he'd be Sanchez 2.0.

Always thought that Kaepernick and RGIII might benefit from a change of scenery, as though they have a choice, and Buffalo or NY Jets might prove interesting if they had the right coaching to get their QB heads back on straight.

The Jets can tamper all they want, and if they do it will be like Manning.. they said they did not do it, and that is good enough for the Asswipe in Charge of the NFL... then there will be the refrain from all of the pundits who will want to take their "word"....
