@Ian - Is the forum running slow or is it my computer? Just Curious. I know you said you were working on updates etc....

My prediction of Ian's response to my question with his best impersonation of Roger. (Stolen from his article)

“If I understand your question correctly, I don’t believe that we’re going to try to do all the innovation ourselves. One of the great things is that we have forum members. We have great people who know how to innovate in certain areas – use technology that may be used in other areas. I mentioned earlier our upgrade Challenge, which reached out on a global basis to find people who may be using certain technologies, certain materials that can make our equipment faster, and our forums to absorb the traffic differently than they currently do. If we can use that technology, maybe used in a different area in our forum, we benefit from that. So, we wanted to innovate by making sure that we’re reaching out to the best innovators in the world, people who know how to use technology, people that can adapt the technology to our forum. We’ll certainly work with them. We,’ll encourage them. But I think that’s what makes the PatsFans forum special is that we constantly try to improve and we get the best people in the world to help us do that.”

So.....is that a yes?

There might be lags here and there. Hard drives are close to full and I've had to keep clearing space to try and keep things stable. Things will be taking place over the next week or two, I'm still working out the details. They tried one thing last night where they ran into an issue, so I've been dealing with that but hopefully it will be ironed out sooner rather than later. I'll post announcements as we get closer so we can plan accordingly, but when it does happen, we might be down for a day and I'm working on an alternate option for when that happens until they get the main board and site back up and running.

Also, I'll be slimming things down in here this offseason and working on some other things to improve caching and overall performance. All of that will begin once I get the server issues ironed out. But this place will fly once this is done. So I appreciate everyone putting up with it.
