limited hangout.

OMG I've been trying to remember that term for so long now and of all the places to hear it again, here. Thank you, citizen.

Prader-Willi syndrome, a congenital disease that causes reduced muscle tone and a lack of hormones in sex glands."
This might be it. Peyton's "Willy" lacked necessary muscle tone. If I were him I'd lie aggressively about it too.

To be fair, Peyton's never denied that HDH had been shipped to his wife. His position has conveniently been that his wife's medical history is off limits.

To be fair, his wife's medical history IS off limits. None of us has any right to know her medical issues.

It's just that the whole thing is a little too convenient....

Peyton suffers a career-threatening injury. He then does business with some sketchy characters who ship all kinds of not-quite-above-board drugs to various people. HGH shipments begin to be sent to Ashley Manning. Peyton recovers and proceeds to put up the most prolific season a QB has ever had, smashing records along the way. AlJeez finds out about this guy Charlie Sly and records a conversation with him where he spills the beans on Peyton and others. News gets out. Peyton's people go to the Guyer Institute and goes through all kinds of medical records. Peyton's people the go to Sly's house, posing as law enforcement, and talks to Sly and some members of his family. The next day Sly recants.

Sure. Nothing to see here. All just a giant coincidence.

Reading in the Broncos forums ... many don't seem to give a **** about it ...
They love their Broncos way more than they love Manning who was a Colt at that time.
They believe they have a chance in spite of Manning ... not thanks to Manning.

If you fast forward to the 41 minute mark here, you can see exactly what Charlie Sly claimed about Peyton: Watch the full Al Jazeera documentary that links Peyton Manning to a doping ring

To summarize, Sly claimed that:

1. He'd been an intern at Guyer
2. He'd met Manning
3. The Mannings would come in after hours and get treatment.
4. The Guyer Institute sent HGH to Ashley Manning.

Manning claimed that Sly's account was a complete fabrication. Well, he already acknowledged that point 3 was true, and his team has now acknowledged that point 4 is true. Al Jazeera (and the Guyter institute itself) confirmed point 1. So what, exactly, was the lie? If everything that Sly said is true, then why was Peyton calling Sly a liar, so the point that he was threatening to sue for defamation?

At this point, it seems like the best he can hope for is the claim that Sly was lying about having met him, which is a tangential, borderline irrelevant point if all of the other allegations are true, and I don't think Peyton would know if that was true either way since there's no way he remembers the name and face of every intern that a clinic that treated him has ever had.

A recantation is of little value if everything you initially claim turns out to be true.

Well they won't love him late Sunday night or Monday AM after he throws all those wounded ducks with at least 2 picks....and the Panthers kick his ass!

Honestly I don't see how he threw his wife under the bus. Her legally or illegally taking hgh doesn't matter.

Right.

A point of clarification, though....

If his wife is being provided medication/drugs illegally, her right to privacy is out the window.

You kind of just answered your own question.

He threw her under the bus because she has nothing to do with HGH. It's obviously his and he's using his wife as a scapegoat, thus, the throwing under the bus.

Right. I can't take regular shipments of morphine to my house with no prescription and no medical need for it, and still get to say "guuuys my medical information is private!!"

Seriously. This is a 5min exercise.

Does she have prescription from a doctor or not? Even from Frankengeyer?

Peyton and Mrs?
Or, Peyton and Archie?

Mostly, what Manning has said about the Al Jazeera report is that it is "complete garbage" and I think he has said just that more than once. It's a very broad brush.

You can see the influence of Ari Fleischer here - it's an artful bit of spin. To the casual observer and to the squadrons of gullible Peyton sycophants that populate The Sporting Press, their intrepid hero has issued a complete and uncategorical denial. It's all garbage.

Now, sayeth Mr. Professional Spinmeister Ari (under cover of darkness) , Peyton didn't really deny everything. Just the parts he couldn't live with himself. And, in the process, he did unceremoniously toss the mother of his children (er, ... at least we think they're his children) under The Big Greyhound Bus that is coincidentally idling outside whenever Manning has to cover his tracks.

People who have to choose their words so carefully that they hire professionals to do it for them often have something to hide.

But Jim Nantz and ESPN say there's nothing to see here, so I guess that's good enough for me.
Awesome turn of a phrase on the bus!

Cue the "she was taking HGH for fertility reasons" excuse because they had twins around that time. What women gets her fertility drugs from an anti-aging clinic located at a strip mall?
None. I am blessed with two sets of twins. When you are PG with twins you are usually under the care of a maternal fetal medicine specialist and they watch you very closely, and would never let you do something like hormone therapy (which I have never heard of frankly during twin pregnancy - the usual problems are iron deficiency, early labor due to too much pressure on the cervix and pre-eclampsia (high blood pressure)) outside of a medical setting. Way too risky. Heck, I was very pregnant once and went to CVS with my husband where he was buying protein supplements and the pharmacist looked at me and asked me very pointedly, "These are not for you, right?" He was very stern that I should NOT take anything that has not been prescribed by my doctor (in fact, I was a little PO'd that he assumed I would be that stupid). Manning is FOS if he sticks to the story that the supplements were for his wife, unless they can show a legit prescription for them, which I highly doubt exists.
