Rep confirms that Guyer clinic sent drugs to Peytons wife !

Not true. The al Jazeera report said steroids and other drugs were shipped to the home address of Manning in 2011 in the name of his wife, Ashley.

Manning replied:

"It's completely fabricated, complete trash, garbage -- there's more adjectives I'd like to be able to use. It really makes me sick."
Your quote was a denial to the entire story and the accusation that he took HGH, not just to drugs being shipped to Ashley. His response to the specific question of drugs being shipped to Ashley are as I indicated. Personally, I think that response is a non-denial dodge.

Cue the "she was taking HGH for fertility reasons" excuse because they had twins around that time. What women gets her fertility drugs from an anti-aging clinic located at a strip mall?

aka the Robert Mathis defense.

It's completely laughable.

Their twins were born March of 2011. Report says they got the HGH in '11. So why the hell would she be getting HGH when she was already pregnant or post-birth..

From my understanding HGH for a man has a different makeup from HGH for a women. It is only a matter of time before it is confirmed that it was HGH for a man.
Exactly ... there can be no back tracking if the drug's signature comes out as formulated for a man.

Manning for all his money worth had to go this institute to get legal stuff for his wife? No one will ask that.

One of the first things I said ...
Also nobody ever saw her pregnant ... nobody close to them knew she was pregnant.
Entirely possible there was a surrogate and in vitro ... which is their private business.

But she was in Florida at that time - that much is verifiable.
Sounds to me their quest for a child fit in perfectly with his need for the HGH.

Well almost perfectly ... the dates don't quite fit. I posted a pic in an earlier post where she is at a fundraiser with Peyton and is not pregnant a month or 2 before the twins were born. People who saw her at that event were stunned when news of the the twins became known.

Did you guys seriously listen to that?

Toucher is such a douche bag. There are not words for how big of a douche bag he is.

Secret is strong enough for a man, but made for a woman.
One day last year, I was about to attend a meeting at one of our customers (CVS) and I realized I forgot to put on deodorant. We were at our broker's office and I asked him if they had any deodorant I could use. He came out with a stick of Secret...I frikkn smelled like a powder room for the rest of the day!

we need to respect her medical privacy

Be curious to see source on this.

I know women and men have different blood levels of the hormone. The gene for naturally occurring growth hormone is on chromosome 17, which is not a sex chromosome. However, that doesn't mean that the sex chromosomes, or other factors, don't lead to different posttranslational processing in men versus women. So, I'm not saying you are wrong, just saying I find this surprising and couldn't find the info quickly with my ****ty Google skillz and the wikipedia page for growth hormone.

Incidentally, prescription of HGH is very rare, and it is considered illegal for off label uses. So unless Peyton or his wife have one of the prescribed uses, they have a shady-ass "doctor". From Wikipedia: "U.S. sales are limited by law to treat a rare growth defect in children and a handful of uncommon conditions like short bowel syndrome or Prader-Willi syndrome, a congenital disease that causes reduced muscle tone and a lack of hormones in sex glands."

In other words, which is more likely, that someone in that household has one of these syndromes, or that Peyton was using it to help recover from neck surgery?

Who is his doctor? They may have committed a felony:
In 1990, the US Congress passed an omnibus crime bill, the Crime Control Act of 1990, that amended the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, that classified anabolic steroids as controlled substances and added a new section that stated that a person who "knowingly distributes, or possesses with intent to distribute, human growth hormone for any use in humans other than the treatment of a disease or other recognized medical condition, where such use has been authorized by the Secretary of Health and Human Services" has committed a felony
Growth hormone - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

OTOH it is quite possible it was used (legally) for fertility treatments:
Growth Hormone to Boost IVF Success Rates in Poor Responders | Advanced Fertility Center of Chicago Blog
Growth hormone has been used for poor responders for many years. However due to the very high cost of growth hormone in the past it was rarely utilized. However, over the years with more competition in the pharmaceutical marketplace the cost of growth hormone has come down. During this same time frame, more studies have been published showing benefit from treatment with growth hormone for IVF low responders.

On the other, other hand, what are the odds that for fertility treatment they would send it to their house, to let her inject it herself? She'd have the flippin doctor do it in a clinic. This smells like back alley ******** dealings to me. Unless she likes having it done by a doctor at home, in which case why would they have it sent to their house? The doctor would just bring it each time.

It just doesn't add up.

It pisses me off so much that if this were Brady, it would be all over the news. I remember last year even NPR, freaking NPR, which never covers anything interesting ever, had a story about the stupid defamegate story. It was everywhere.

Thank God we won that freaking game. Love me some Butler. I'd pretty much be homocidal/suicidal if we had lost.

We've all been there. I was on a trip once and the drug store in hotel/plaza didn't have any shaving cream and I had to buy Skintastic (woman's shave gel). Smooth shave if I recall.

Contagious at that station ......

Caitlin Jenner? Oh wait . . .

As far as I understand it, there are three legal uses of HGH for adults in the US, and they are growth hormone deficiency, short bowel syndrome and HIV-related wasting. So assuming I'm not way off--which I guess I could be since I'm no medical expert--HGH cannot legally be used as a fertility drug in America.

So, believe it or not, the WaPo story has actually been big news on ESPN today. It was discussed on the Highly Questionable to some degree, with the guys saying it needs to be looked into more, and then on Around the Horn, all the reporters unanimously agreed that Peyton looks really bad and shady. Woody Paige went so far as to bring up Brady and Deflategate and said Brady was totally railroaded in comparison to this. Everyone finished the segment by agreeing it needs to be looked into quite a bit more and it's far from over.

I was shocked. Is it Opposite Day???

ESPN has published a couple stories blasting the NFL lately. The conspiracy theorist in me things that they might be mad that they did exactly what the NFL wanted last year and still a **** MNF lineup. If the NFL isn't going to reward their obedience, there isn't a ton of reason to stay obedient.

Although that's probably just looking for a pattern where there isn't one.

To summarize, Sly claimed that:

1. He'd been an intern at Guyer
2. He'd met Manning
3. The Mannings would come in after hours and get treatment.
4. The Guyer Institute sent HGH to Ashley Manning.
By "the Mannings," does that refer to Peyton and his wife BOTH going to the clinic? I probably missed it earlier, but this is the first I've heard of Ashley's involvement aside from only being the recipient of addressed shipments. If so, that could give Peyton a reasonable alibi, couldn't it? Something along the lines of her being on a fertility treatment regimen, etc.

Yeah, Sly referred to both of them coming in in the filmed part of the Al Jazeera report. It doesn't explicitly state that she was receiving treatment too, maybe one of them was just accompanying the other there, but they did both go into the clinic after hours. Or, as Peyton said "maybe they came in at 5:15 when they closed at 5".
