Peyton's legal team hired PIs to vet PEDs source
Such a sad commentary, really...whatever outlet originally broke the story, every news organization in the country should have jumped immediately and have their own sourced takes on this by now.I wish they sold the story to CNN or the New York Times.....
It wouldn't matter if anyone asked him. He'd just babble nonsense for a while without answering the question
Mr Commissioner, will the NFL look into the recent stories of HGH being shipped to Peyton Manning's house?
Well Mike, as you know, we just want to do whatever is necessary to uphold the integrity of the game. The integrity of the game is what is of the upmost importance to us. Regarding any stories in the media that have come out recently about any players or anyone else connected to the league, all I can say is that we want to ensure that the integrity of the game is upheld. Next question.

Hiring private eyes to impersonate cops and intimidate a witness is a helluva lot more serious than HGH use. I just lost a ton of respect for Manning. This is getting too big and too serious for the media to continue protecting him.

It now reads:
Report: Peyton Manning's legal team checked source of allegations
That is so incredibly misleading. It's like the spin a mafia boss would use.
To me, ESPN would have more credibility if they just ignored the story, like they've done with some other negative developments for Manning.
They have staked themselves to some embarrassing territory with this story. When it first broke, they had their reporters and analysts openly mocking the news agency behind the story. Now, they're telling people it's totally normal to send PIs, unannounced, to talk to witnesses.
As aluminum seats said earlier this morning, I know we question ESPN's motives and ethics, but this could lead to more people thinking the same way.
It's more probably than not, that PEDyton's guys bought his recantment, much the same way the Mannings bought the silence of the girl he tea bagged in college.
Everyday, the NFL looks worse and worse in light of the framing of Brady and the head in the sand over Manning's PED use. You really have to ask yourself, why would the NFL, choose to trash the reputation of its greatest QB evah, while at the same time, ignoring the PED use of Manning.
Any yet none of the sports outlets are running with this story. How can strong arming somebody's family not be worse than a chance balls were deflated. If it came out Brady did this you better believe every outlet would be calling for him to have a lifetime ban from football and the HOF.
They would be saying Brady shouldn't be allowed to play in the SB.If this were Brady, espn would have commentators crying and demanding that he be thrown in a prison cell for the rest of his life, before the "investigation" even started
