Straight up ... who is winning Super Bowl 50.

I was Panthers ... but the more I think about it ... I'm going Broncos.
Not that I want them to win ... I really don't care ... just that I think they will win.

You can change your vote up to game time.

Both teams have elite defenses.

I see Newton doing more against Denver's D than Manning against Carolina's. In fact, I expect Manning to struggle and struggle mightily.

In the end, I expect Carolina to win by a comfortable margin. I hope they do, anyway, because while the media knob slobbery is going to be unbearable regardless, I'd rather have it be on Newton than HGH.

I have a difficult time seeing how Denver gets in the end zone in this game, unless it's with a ST/defensive score.

I think Denver has all the intangible stuff going for them unfortunately. They know this is Peyton's last game and want to win badly for him as well as their ailing owner. The better team on paper doesn't always win. Everything has been going right for them this year- no significant injuries, fluke wins, ref help.

I saw cam newtons press conference yesterday. He looked like the old cam newton, the one that hated facing the media. He didn't "get" why he had to be there. He didn't seem to understand the moment.

I will be rooting hard for Carolina.

When you hear the term "team of destiny", you have to apply that to this year's Broncos team.

They've won games in the regular season they had no business winning, won two playoff games with a 40 year old QB who needs a hip replacement. It's quite fairytale stuff.

Unfortunately for Denver, I can't see it happening.

Carolina is 17-1, destroyed Arizona, a team many claimed was the second best in the league and was one insane Julio Jones catch away from being 18-0.

The Panthers are the real team of destiny and I think they get the job done on Sunday.

If the Broncos hadn't gotten spanked so badly two years ago, I'd definitely go Carolina. But sports is weird, and the same things tend not to happen again (except for the Broncos getting killed in the Super Bowl back in the day, now that I think about it. And the Bills losing in the Super Bowl over and over. So maybe stuff does happen again....)

Anyway, I don't think Denver will get clobbered. Think it might be an entertaining game, actually. In the end, Carolina takes it. But I wouldn't bet a significant amount on it.

I think Denver's defense keeps this tight up until the half then Carolina breaks in open in the second half. Denver has the speed on defense to contain Newton and Carolina's running game and I don't see their WR's getting much separation from Denver's secondary. It's actually the Broncos' offense vs. Carolina's defense that I think will turn the tide. Their three techs should be able to have their way with Denver's OL and they should stick Norman on Sanders and bracket Thomas to choke off the Broncos' options through the air. After that, hopefully Newton will stop pouting on the sideline and lead the Panthers to a win. Turnovers will be key here, as they always are, and I see Denver committing more of them than Carolina unless Newton just massively chokes.

Then again, I have been uncharacteristically and exceptionally bad at the predict the score contest this year, so maybe don't take my word for it.

Denver can win even if the offense plays at a subpar level. Don't know if you can say the same about Carolina. That's why I like Denver in this one...if the offense makes a few plays, it's all gravy for them. If they can't move the ball much, well, they've won a lot of games where that's happened.

Manning's arm will be good enough in the first half due to 2 weeks between games. If the Broncos can get 17 in the first half they have a chance IMO.

Denver over spent all their mental energy in the AFCCG. I expect them to be flat but keep the game close until the second half, however Carolina will win.

I'm not watching the game. I will only watch the Patriots games. Instead, I am playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. The new map pack is out. IF anyone wants to play, I play on PS4 and my Gamertag is KDP_Soldier.

Ohh and I hope the Panthers beat the living SH!T out of the Donkeys!

Go Panthers. I actually like the Panthers, so it's not even entirely about rooting against the Broncos (although that is like 75% of it).

Denver won't:

1 - Be playing against a busted OL with a center tipping the snap
2 - Be facing a QB whose ability to scramble is worse than my grandma's
3 - Have HFA

Carolina wins this one in a blowout. And I honestly think they're the best team in the league this year (factoring in injuries), so I'd be very satisfied with that outcome.

Is this where I make my prediction? I hate to say it but Manning gets his second ring this Sunday. The Donks defense will stifle the Panthers passing game. Their secondary is very good and can shut down that average group of receivers 1 on 1. They will need to double up Olsen. That leaves 6 or 7 to shut the run down and contain Cam. They are more than fast enough to limit Cam's impact. The Panthers best LB is hurt and will not be effective. They will score just enough to win. 17-13, 20-17 something like that. It could even be a blowout if Cam turns the ball over enough. Take the 6-points and at least win some $ from this abomination of a game. Also you know Peyton will get 1 or 2 critical calls. They want him to win. It will be a sad sad day. Uggh!

This sounds right to me. Although I'll say this: Carolina is certainly a much better team on the field than on paper. Teams have gameplanned all year to shut down the run and turn Newton into a pocket passer. No one has been very successful at implementing the plan. It will be a very interesting game when Carolina has the ball. When Denver has the ball, it's going to be very boring...I think Denver will do what they always do, which is shorten the field for Manning, capitalize on a few breakdowns/mismatches, and do just enough to come out on top in the end.

Nah.... Carolina is going to do things to Denver that you wouldn't want to see done to your worst enemy.* And, then, Newton and Norman are going to become even more unsufferable, so we'll be able to really hate them next year, when Peyton's gone.

*Or maybe you would, but it's going to be a brutal beating taken by the Broncos

43-8

42-13 Panthers
