Marshall Faulk STILL blaming a Super Bowl loss on "cheating"

good for faulk, at least he doesn't pretend that he doesn't hate us..
he makes it obvious... kinda respect that!

Damn Jackson 2.

That is taking it a little bit too far.
Yes, you're right- let me amend that. Hopefully, he'll be taking that trip even sooner than I originally hoped.

He'll never stop. He can't accept that they lost, he feels he was owed a dynasty. Oh well, tough for him.

This is going to ramble a bit...

- In a way, Faulk's annual whining is sad. Here's a guy who was a Heisman runner-up, #2 overall draft pick, pro bowler, league MVP, SB champion, and Hall of Famer and he spends more time talking about a SB that he lost than the one he won. Losing sucks and losing a championship game you were favored in stings even more, but not every great player gets to win multiple SBs. I'm sure Dan Marino would have loved to have a .500 record in the Super Bowl. Dan Fouts and Adrian Peterson would loved to just reach one. Faulk had a tremendous career, but he sounds like a message board poster when he keeps harping on something that, even if he doesn't accept this, didn't happen.

- Looking at the articles in the OP, Faulk mentions not being able to see the tapes. In the comments, there are multiple people saying we didn't get to see the evidence.
  • We did get to see the tapes! Jay Glaser's tape was played on TV. Goodell screened Matt Walsh's tapes for the media during his press conference in May of 2008. Just because they are not available for viewing on the NFL's website doesn't mean the public never had a chance to see them. If someone is going to say, "Well, how do you know they're showing us everything?", that person is so convinced of their opinion that no amount of evidence will satisfy them.
  • Since when do we, as fans, get to see evidence? Did we see the evidence of the 49ers tampering with Lance Briggs? Did we see Ray Farmer's texts? The Broncos tape of the 49ers walkthrough? Hear the audio recordings of the Falcons pumped in crowd noise? Do we get to read the lab reports for a player's positive drug tests? The NFL is a private corporation. If they don't want to share specific information, they're not under an obligation to. And just because we don't get to see these things doesn't mean the NFL is protecting some secret.
  • There was no walkthrough tape. That story is completely false. I have no idea why no interviewer ever mentions that fact to Faulk.
- We know that ESPN and the NFL will highlight some stories and ignore others, depending on what agenda they want to push. I remember there was some leaked ESPN memo a few years ago instructing them not to discuss a story involving Favre or Roethlisberger. So why can't the NFL, as part of their constant effort to protect the integrity of the game, tell one of their employees to stop accusing one their SB champions of cheating? Tell Faulk that, in his private life, he can say whatever he wants. When he's appearing on NFLN or being interviewed by one of their broadcast partners, drop the accusations.

Wonder if the Pats are going continue with the free rent in his brain, or will they start charging this year???

Marshall faulk: exhibit A that concussions are bad.

I think Faulk is hilarious with this whole thing. I love how obsessed he is with it. Sad, but funny.
The bigger problem is that the general public believes that the Pats did tape the walkthroughs and are unaware of the fact that the story was retracted and admitted to be false. Even with the whole ESPN apology at 1 am that no one saw, people still think the Pats cheated then. I wish we could do a 60 minutes special or something debunking all of these lies and provide the facts. I think that the general ignorant public would actually come around to all the NFL/Goodell bs if they would just listen to the facts from a trusted entity like 60 minutes or something.

its fun to see how BB can get into someones head for over a decade and leave this type of lasting impact.

NICE

Let's see, another crybaby blaming everyone else but himself. Talk about being self-absorbed.

We need a NFL Golden SB anniversary whine team with Kurt Warner, Marshal Faulk, Troy Aikman, etc heading up the team.

Coached by Goodell himself....

3.2 Billion dollars.........

...

He claims that the Patriots knew the Rams OFFENSIVE plays because of taping the Rams DEFENSIVE signals,
or

he believes the false, disproven, RETRACTED allegation that somebody taped a walk-through practice.

The allegation of taping a walk-through was denied/retracted by:
-the newspaper who reported it (Herald, on the FRONT PAGE)
-the reporter who wrote it (Tomase)
-the actual source for the story (Walsh, the fired Pats employee)

Yet the haters eat this stuff up.

He actually says in the article that he believes that the "evidence" was among the tapes Goodell destroyed. Tin foil hat stuff.

Two quick comments on a horse that has been beat so dead that the sticks are busted:

1) The Pats didn't tape the walkthrough; that's pretty much been validated externally. But, if they did, you can bet that Ernie Adams wouldn't be dumb enough to leave the evidence lying around.

2) What I think Goodell did destroy was evidence of how well Adams and the Patriots took advantage of what was legitimate sideline taping before the memo. I'd bet the farm that Adams had the, legally recorded, signals of every team digitally cataloged and organized for immediate access before or during a game.

In other words, Goodell didn't destroy evidence of the Pats' cheating; rather, he destroyed the evidence of how ****ing smart they were in using what they had recorded legally because Goodell knew it would drive the other owners completely bonkers.

Get over it .....btw Marshall ...that yellow snow you are eating ...its not flavored ice....

It's too bad the Titans couldn't of beaten the Rams the year before, Faulk's bitterness would be through the roof...

when will the NFL network fire Marshall.

Out of the NFL Network morning show, he's the least important behind Irvin and Warner (Mooch can be replaced by another coach).

If LT had a grasp of the english language he would have already replaced him

Read the PFT comments just for fun.. holy crap, some people must get paid to troll... just spend every day responding to every article/comment with the same old cheater crap/questions/theories.. pretty sad but also hilarious.

As far as MF goes, his bitterness delights me. Hope it eats at him every second of every day.
