nfl now supposedly didn't collect any PSI this year

It's probably also worth noting that Goodell is claiming that no footballs were below 12.5 PSI when checked this year. Which means that the balls were measured under different conditions than the Pats' balls were, they didn't measure any balls in cold weather conditions, or Goodell is a lying sack of ****. We all know the third option is true, so I guess it doesn't matter if either of the first two are.

now you are getting it

If any other person in charge of a gigantic corporation in the world was this big of a blatant liar, he would be tarred, feather and dragged through the mud for the masses to enjoy....

Do you really believe that?

Supposedly El Prez is not allowed in any of the NFL media events this week. So Curran and the rest of the New England media guys that have a chance to grill Goddell on his annual SB press conference should.

Its time this guys gets really put on the spot.

Also this is really what Pats fans should be furious with Kraft about. He should have put pressure on the league back in may to report the PSI numbers at the end of the season.

Wow, I thought they would just **** with the numbers to tell the story they wanted. Never even occurred to me that after months of saying they would be recording measurements, they'd just come out and say they didn't after all. Guess the numbers didn't tell the story they were hoping for.
Evidence of stupidity when everyone with half a brain was telling them the balls would do the exact same thing they did in the AFCCG, namely, the PSI would adjust in accordance with the temperature.

They were so blinded by hate they actually advertised their plans to record measurements and the like, and just now are they realizing they weren't going to find f-all to fit their narrative.

no he said no violations occured this year. in other words no evidence of ball tampering. he didn't say anything about PSI numbers remaining the same. anyway that's how I read it.

we already know that the NFL was concerned about the PSI levels in the Seahawks-Vikings game, so they know that PSI numbers are going to decrease in cold weather.

they still maintain that psi below 12.5 is a violation, however

they're like flat-Earthers.

I would love for some very, very bad things to happen to Goodell and his cronies. I won't speak on them but let me just say that I'm surprised at the things that I would be happy to hear happen to him.

this is an opportunity for the pats ownership to call the entire situation out publicly....he might not be able to sue them, but a nice payback would be to make very loud noises this week......make the overt accusation that the entire process by the league front office was to punish the pats and NOT to get the right answer......get in front of every mediot willing to listen and bang bang bang that drum until someone attempts to stop them..........only then will the real answer come to the surface

I might be done with this league. I still love Tom and BB, but if the game is going to continue to be rigged against them what's the point?

It's only a violation if someone physically takes air out of the balls. Less than 12.5 psi is not enough.

This is a corporation that for 25 years concealed and fabricated data in which determined concussions caused long-term brain damage.

This is a corporation which has the biggest joke of a HGH and drug testing program.

For anyone to believe that they are now committed to learn and publish how ball pressure is influenced by air temperature is being fanciful- especially when they have burned $10m in court to ensure that their power over the NFLPA remains intact and the Patriots are compromised from a competitive standpoint.

I am really hoping some folks in the the press thunder away at him during his presser.

Seeing him uncomfortable and squirm would be enjoyable to watch

I wish a reporter would quote verbatim from the NFL's earlier claims that they would take a more rigorous approach to measuring PSI.

I think it would be very interesting to see what the conditions are for an interview with Goodell. It's not uncommon for the interview subject to say "Topic X is off limits," but I have to believe Goodell has some additional ones, like no more than one question on a subject, no follow up questions to the commissioner's response, etc. I imagine it boils down to "These are the questions you can ask and these are the answers he will give. If we can't agree on that, no interview."

I'd imagine it is more like: "No questions! I am the decider! Derp!"

This guy just gets me literally SEETHING... I'd give anything to just punch that f*** right in his face if I knew I wouldn't go to jail for it...

Just pure scum
I don't think anyone would go jail for punching Goodell in the face, so go for it!

The judge will throw it out!

These people (NFL Office) are so full of ****, it's coming out their ears.

I don't think there's much doubt that they now know they were wrong, either because they finally understand the science or because their own observations this season demonstrated that fact (or both), but they can't afford to admit it.

If they admit they were wrong, they have to apologize to the Patriots and Brady, return the fine and restore the Draft order, none of which will happen. [wish we still had the "When Pigs Fly" Smiley]

So, they'll do what countless others have done in their situation, "stonewall it."

Watergate would have remained a "third rate burglary" by unknown perpetrators if it weren't for Howard Dean, Mark Felt and a couple of enterprising reporters. We can always hope that there are folks like that, somewhere at 345 Park or Paul Weiss and somewhere in the "real" media (not Sports Distorterated, HSPN or the NFL Shillwork).

Otherwise, stone walls tend to stand.

This was nothing more than a witch hunt against the Patriots from the beginning.

The Pats are one of the most successful franchises in the history of sports. That's because of Belichick, Brady and Kraft. Much of the NFL coaching fraternity is not exactly enamored with BB, the GOAT coach. Brady has a wife who is smart, gorgeous and the most successful model to ever strut the runway. Plus he is the GOAT QB. For all the criticism of him, Kraft Kept the team in NE, built a successful entertainment venue, hired the best coach of all time, made the franchise a model franchise, all while using his own money to do so, instead of soaking the taxpayer.

Add to that mix a wee bit of jealousy, some JetDell homerism in the NFL FO, grousing by whiners like Harbaugh et al. and what do you have? The necessity of taking the Pats down a peg or two.
