It's that time of year.

Second rounder for a WR project? One year of 26 catches / 341 yards. Pats don't gamble this early in the draft
Fixing the O line fixes a lot of NE's offensive problems. I'm not a Lafell fan at all but I'm not going to bury an outside WR that needs more than the 1.7-2.0 seconds with Brady in survivor mode

Id argue we've shown to gamble on certain players early.

I think taking Gronk in the 2nd rd considering he missed the college season before with a back injury was a gamble, and I think drafting Easley with his injury history was a gamble as well.

Both those guys had/have HUGE upside, and i consider Miller the same thing.

Drake and Miller are two players I want, throw in OJ Howard who were sure to be linked with as well.

I don't think Miller is as much of a project as someone like Dennard Robinson and he's possibly the best athlete in the draft and would instantly be the best athlete on offense. Both have elite long speed which is simply something that we've lacked since Moss left. Both I think will complement what we do better than the "bruising back" some are clamoring for. Both are important but unless we get the right big back which will be tough, are we really upgrading at all from Blount?

I like Miller but I think someone is going to take him much earlier than we pick

Tavon Wilson and Jordan Richards ring any bells? ;)

I have said it too often already but if you look for the draft to be the place where we fix any perceived OL issues then you will be disappointed.

With Jules turning 30 in May, Dola's contract being a big question mark, Dobson never taking off and LaFell never recovering from last year's foot injury we desperately need some reinforcements at WR. Also, don't overvalue college production.. it is essentially meaningless. What you are looking for are measurables and traits.

Bb will take the highest ranked guy on his board at 60 regardless of position.

We will scratch our heads, but bb will stay true to his board.

However as of today, I do not see a lot of players I think will be available at 60 that stand out. Could bb flip 60 for a first rounder in 2017?

Let me answer that question in about a month when we went through the first wave of FA. If there are some uncharacteristically big contract signings then getting into position to say "screw this draft" is what we might actually be doing. Doubt it though.

Interesting theory, but I don't know if we can afford to wait until the 90's to draft someone, can we?

It's already bad enough having to wait until 60, but things worked out pretty well when we waited until 57 to take Jamie Collins, and there's also the fact that we still have 3 picks in the first 3 rounds.

Edit: We actually took Collins at 52, not the 57 that I stated. Apologies.

I believe that. Barely watched any Oregon games this year, but my last impression of Buckner was the Rose Bowl game vs Florida state where he dominated in..

It'll probably come down to whether a 3-4 team or a 4-3 team are the first team looking foe a DE. I can see Ramsey, Tunsil, Jack and one or two of the QBs going off the board before Bosa so that puts the Ravens and 49ers in play, one of whom may take Buckner before Bosa. Having said that, Dallas are a wild card at the top of the draft.

Myles Jack gonna run all the drills on UCLA pro day..is he going to the combine?

Honestly, with the way teams play nickle and dime, id still take Buckner over Bosa. Nothing against Bosa, hes good, but I just value that interior presence more than the edge guys. I dunno if Buckner a double digits sack guy, but hell get enough, plus his long arms will give QB fits.

Id rather an Aaron Donald, Geno Atkins over a Khalil Mack or Von Miller. I know that might not be the flavor of the month today, but thats my opinion. Bucker reminds me of a Richard Seymour/Colias Campbell mix

I agree. I think an excellent interior guy is overall more disruptive than an excellent outside pass rusher.
