Victor Cruz anyone? The Giants will make him take a large cut. Perhaps a deal can be made and sign for reasonable? He is coming off back to back injury years but is dynamic if he is healthy.Use to be taboo talk in NYC. Sign here as a prove it?

Same pick up after CAP cut or Trade Scenario but he is healthy is Mike Wallace on the run-first Vikes.

Mike Wallace. Only 29 and not a Vikings style fit with he or the Team. Not small at 6' and 205lbs.
RotoWorld "It's a no-brainer. Wallace isn't worth his $11.45 million salary and it's unlikely he'd take a pay cut to stay with Minnesota. The 29-year-old should fare better in a more pass-oriented offense" Check box? .......Pats? Would he be willing to work with us for a two year incentive ladden deal?.....that is if he is cut. Or would the Vikes do a sign and trade with us? Speed?........ Check!

He is still averaging almost 60 catches per season on the anemic Miami and Minn. passing game for 3 of those.

LaFell comparison. Lafell 6'2" and a 36 vertical with 4.54 speed. Wallace is 6' with a 40" vertical and 4.3 speed. So Wallace has a 2" advantage on a jump ball and only 6lbs less than LaFell. Wallace is lightning fast. LaFell has drops. His hands are actually small. Wallace has bigger hands. Will it translate if the Pats can get him? Who knows. At least he is a take-off-the-top threat.

Thoughts?

Cruz had one really great year and then kind of fell off a cliff and then had an absolutely devastating knee injury. At the end of the day I don't think he's anything that special.

No on V. Cruz. He's brittle and hasn't had a good season in years. Unless it's on a very low prove it deal I wouldn't look at him.

Wallace is intriguing. He could stretch the field and keep the D honest. He's not worth big money though. We would just need him for 60 catches and to open up the field for Gronk and Edelman. I wouldn't pay him much more then Lafell gets though and I don't think that would be enough to get a deal done.

I'm hoping they could get M. Jones for under $6m per year or T. Benjamin for under $5m per year.

What ever happens we need an upgrade on Lafell.

When healthy, Cruz is dynamic. Add Pierre Garcon to the CAP cut possibles. He has been fairly healthy and productive.

Garçon is a good player, but would probably cost to much. I'd be on board if he could be had in the $5m to $6m range.

Cruz might be interesting, but absolutely no way on Mike Wallace. Does not fit this offense whatsoever. I think he'd fail miserably here.

The NYG waited patiently for Cruz to heal this whole time so they can have a dynamic offense paired alongside OBJ, and now they're going to cut him?

The Redskins just finally turned things around with an actual offense/QB, and now they're going to cut one of their WR stars? I dunno. Color me skeptical.

It would be interesting to go double dip on good free agents again like we did with Revis and Browner, but this time at WR. I lost my patience with all these dudes and I was the biggest Dobson supporter. Keep obviously the only 2 reliable and good guys we have in the passing game, Gronk and Edelman. All the others are expendable. I love Amendola but as a WR he is a good kick returner, work well in strechts of the season, had a great off season last year but that time the stars were alligned for the Patriots to win, when it's not it's always a replay of the losses to Baltimore and 2 for Denver, the smurfs get shutdown in the playoffs. Also this last quarter of the season he was once again playing through injury due to that ****ing punt return without any need against the Bills when his knee buckled and that was his season.

Edelman is a beast, much more physical and fast, but at 30 he wil benefit from having some other guys opening the field for him to do his thing that is move the chains on the short passing game.

That said Cruz is done, that knee injury is terribly difficult to recover and his burst will never be the same. Wallace is interesting, Brady was throwing some bombs to Lafell that never worked out, I think Wallace does a better job tracking and adjusting the ball, at least a couple of those passes he would have caught, but his cap figure is too high for a guy that would be used situationally in this system.

Wallace should be a CAP casualty. He has made plenty of $. It's up to him if he gets cut, on his next home if that happens. He needs a passing offense. Pitt was ideal but he can't go back and they are in CAP trouble. You can look at Indy or GB. Baltimore might be a dark horse but they are CAP tied.

Of course the Pats can do a Welker type deal. Trade and sign and kick back a pick to Minn. Minn. got him for a fifth round pick to free up money for Suh. I would suspect a lower pick back could work.

Why would you use Wallace as just a situation fit? Let him start as your#1 with Edelman in the slot and Gronk tight in or split out. I am calling B.S. on James White as an RB and saying he could be your @2 WR. White is bigger than even a guy like Randall Cobb, The Pack #2WR. That being said Cousin, the other Team still has to respect Wallace. Not so with LaFell , Martin (Tyms?) or ? right now and Amendola is not a deep threat.

Wallace has decent size. You fool with him trying to jam at the line and he has home run possibilities.

Don't you agree a Team can't pull a Safety down and double Gronk if they have to keep one deep just in case for Wallace with all that speed? Just sayin.

I am not a fan of Wallace but on a crap Miami passing Team he caught 10 TDs in 2014.

One more thing I will say about Wallace. Our WR and TEs have missed many games. They can not stay healthy. Wallace has missed one game in 7 years. Again just sayin. I am not his biggest fan. I just think he might fit it cut.

Alas, I don't believe that these are the Droids your looking for.

01 ~ Victor Cruz. A Tremendous Flanker Talent who should indeed be available for a Bargain Basement Price after missing all of 2015, and who should also be 100% ~ so to speak ~ in plenty of time for Camp and perhaps OTA's, so I love your Thinking on this...But that 2014 Injury was a Patellar Tendon Tear. He'll most probably never be what he was, and it's also highly in doubt that his Health will ever again be reliable.

02 ~ Michael Wallace. Double Threat Guy. Yeah, you get yourself a Terrell Owens level of Prima Donna with all the whining, pissing, and moaning, combined with a Brandon LaFell level of Production.

Nice.

I would say no to either player, they don't fit a need.

An intruiging one would be Andre Johnson, if he gets cut he could be that physical big WR on the outside and a big upgrade over Lafell

Mike Wallace has already peaked and really won't be a great fit for us here. Cruz at this point is literally an unknown because of his numerous injuries. I'd rather gamble with the 5% chance that Dobson finally makes the jump than spending money on Wallace or Cruz.

Hes done I would rather have Tyms
Instead of Johnson that ship has sailed think Ocho Cinco 2.0

For as disappointing as LaFell was last season, he ended up with more yards than Johnson...in 5 fewer games.

Sure let's throw away money on Mike Wallace. Why not? If you hated Ochocinco, you will really hate Mike Wallace. A deep threat who cannot run routes, is soft, and stupid. The perfect anti-Patriot. I hope the Pats throw tons of money at him.

People need to get over deep threat WRs. Unless they are guys like Antonio Brown, they are a waste of money especially in this offense. People keep pointing to Moss and the 2007 offense, but Moss is an once in a generation WR and he proved to be far more than a standard deep threat WR.
